    470 Epe students in Lagos to get N50,000 each from council

    About 470 students of Epe Local Gopvernment origin in tertiary institutions will benefit from the council’s N50,000 bursary.

     The Chair,  Surah Animashaun, spoke while giving cash to the first batch of 50 at  the council in Lagos State.

     She said “470 students in public and private tertiary institutions will benefit from the bursary awards, as the first batch has received N50,000’’.

    Animashaun said each student of the council’s origin is entitled to N50,000 to assist them in their academic work, and alleviate their parents’ financial burden for some time.

     “I recognise importance of education in shaping the future,” however, I also acknowledge the financial constraints you face.

     ‘‘This programme is my response to such challenges. I believe every student should access quality education, regardless of financial position.

    Rahmon Saheed, Youth representative, described the chairman as “a mother and a good listener.”

    He hailed her for this initiative, saying “Animashaun’s leadership has changed the narrative in education in Epe.”

     Shittu Aliu (Saico), Education secretary, applauded the chairman’s commitment to educational development.

    “In fact, this programme demonstrates Animashaun’s dedication to empowering Epe’s future leaders.”

     Yusuff Kazeem, the Best Teacher in the Secondary School category in Nigeria, praised the chairman and advised beneficiaries to make the chairman and Epe proud with wise use of the bursary award. 

    “Richard Oladeinde, Ayomide Adeshina, and Badmus Gbemisola of Lagos State University, Ojo, said the money showed her passion for individual prosperity”.

    Others thanked her for the gesture, promising to use the funds judiciously.
