    Lagos State is partnering with the private sector to establish itself as a leader in climate action and circular economy innovation with a strategic plan designed to enhance employment and entrepreneurship.

    The Special Adviser to the Governor on Climate Change and Circular Economy, Mrs. Titi Oshodi, reiterated this during the online launch of Kike Ai, an application intended to facilitate cooking performances and boost sales in the gas sector.

    She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to building a sustainable and prosperous future.

    According to Mrs. Oshodi, the government aims to create an environment that empowers innovators and technology entrepreneurs within the circular economy. “Lagos, as a dynamic and progressive state, recognises the vast potential of the green economy. We are actively developing programmes and policies that will drive job creation and support entrepreneurial efforts focused on climate change mitigation and adaptation,” she stated.

    The outlined plan includes a comprehensive approach that features the creation of innovation hubs, support for startups and small enterprises, and the introduction of skills development programs tailored to the needs of the evolving circular economy. “We recognize that transitioning to a circular economy necessitates a skilled workforce and a strong ecosystem that nurtures innovation,” the Special Adviser explained. “Thus, we are collaborating with academic institutions, private sector entities, and international organisations to offer training, mentorship, and resources for aspiring green entrepreneurs.”

    She praised SMEFUNDS for its innovative development of Kike Ai, a state-of-the-art cooking application aimed at transforming the culinary landscape while promoting job creation and economic development.

    She underscored the critical role of technology in advancing sustainable development, particularly in supporting small businesses and improving the quality of life for residents of Lagos.

     “We live in a fast-paced, bustling city like no other, and innovations such as Kike Ai demonstrate the power of technology to solve everyday problems. This app not only provides a practical solution for home cooks but also creates a ripple effect that enhances livelihoods by offering new opportunities in the culinary industry. From chefs to food vendors,” she said.

    Chief Executive,SMEFUNDS, Femi Oye  indicated that Kike Ai, a pioneering kitchen application aimed at transforming Nigeria’s food and gas industries, with the ambitious objective of creating 1,000,000 jobs  throughout  the  nation.

    He presented the app’s potential to optimise  gas supply, enhance consumer convenience, and foster significant economic opportunities.”Kike Ai tackles a prevalent household issue: the unexpected depletion of cooking gas,” Oye stated. “By utilizing advanced algorithms and data analytics, the app forecasts when a user’s gas cylinder is running low, allowing them to order refills ahead of time. “The application is projected to generate numerous job opportunities, particularly in delivery, logistics, and within the gas retail and food sectors. “We expect significant job growth as the app gains traction, positively affecting gas stations and food businesses,” Oye remarked. “This app represents a mutually beneficial solution, fostering economic development and creating essential employment.”

    As  Kike Ai prepares for its nationwide launch, the company is highlighting the significant job creation potential and transformative impact it will have on the food and gas industries.

    According to Oye, “The job creation potential of Kike Ai is diverse. A considerable number of positions will arise in delivery and logistics, as the app streamlines gas refill deliveries. We envision a massive expansion in the app’s reach leading to increased employment in gas stations and food businesses. We believe ‘Kike Ai’ can transform the food and gas industries, fostering a mutually beneficial scenario that stimulates economic growth and generates essential employment opportunities.”

    The innovative app aims to enhance efficiency and create new job opportunities across the sectors. “This technology unlocks numerous opportunities by delivering value in an effective, efficient, secure, and safe manner,” Oye stated. “It enables gas marketers to meet customer expectations in a verifiable way by predicting when gas supplies will deplete. We are discussing the predictive management of gas sales and purchases, which enhances demand forecasting and boosts supply chain efficiency. It is possible for business operators to access extensive datasets collected in real-time, thereby facilitating improved decision-making and overall business performance.”

    He  called on food and gas sector businesses to prepare for this significant transformation, promising enhanced efficiency and a wave of new employment opportunities.

    Oye highlighted that Kike Ai functions as more than just an app; it also offers a digital marketing platform. He explained:  “Kike Ai” facilitates a digital marketplace that connects gas stations with an expanded customer base and supports online transactions. The app’s predictive capabilities empower gas stations to anticipate customer demand, enabling them to optimize their inventory and reduce stock shortages.  Users can quickly find nearby stations, compare prices, and set up deliveries, thereby fostering customer loyalty.

    He emphasised the app’s broader goal: “This application   will serve as a digital tool for culinary innovation, granting users immediate access to a vast array of recipes. Whether one is an experienced chef or a beginner in the kitchen, it serves as an asset for discovering new tastes and streamlining meal preparation.”

    As soaring gas prices strain household budgets, Oye noted that Kike Technologies, is promoting its AI-driven platform as a crucial tool for managing gas consumption and enhancing food safety in Nigerian kitchens.

    He   emphasized the platform’s ability to provide real-time insights, customer feedback, and quality metrics, essential for both commercial and domestic users.

    “In today’s economic climate, efficient gas usage is no longer a luxury, but a necessity,” Oye stated. “Our technology empowers users to track consumption, build trust, and maintain high safety standards, particularly vital in the food industry.”
