    Lagos surveyors hold MCPD

    Lagos State branch of Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers will hold its 2024 Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD) programme tomorrow.

    A statement by the Chairman of the branch, Gbenga Ismail, said the President/Chairman of the council of the institution, Victor Alonge, would be the chief host at the one-day training, which would start at 10am at Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry, 1, Idowu Taylor Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

    The statement said the theme of the seminar is titled: ‘Embracing Technology; The Future of Real Estate Services’, which will be facilitated by Otunba Bola Onabadejo and Mr. Femi Madariola.

    It said the seminar is expected to offer a fresh insight into current trends in technology and its transformative role in modern real estate practices.

    The statement said Akin Opatola, Principal Partner at Olawale Jordan & Co, would facilitate the Sub theme 1; ‘Adapting to Market Disruptions; How to Navigate the Changing Real Estate Landscape and Chat GPT.’

    ‘’This session will touch on the impact of market changes and technological disruptions, including the role of AI in real estate; while Sub theme 2, titled: ’Use of Google Maps/GPS in Identifying, Locating Properties and the Use of Drones in Real Estate’, will be facilitated by  Adetoun Otepola and  Gabriel Adeyanju, Managing Partner, Gable Consults. This session will shed light on the growing use of digital tools such as Google Maps, GPS and Drones in property identification and real estate management.

    Ismail encouraged members not to miss the opportunity to enhance their knowledge on the application of technology to the practice of the profession.
