    Lanre DaSilva marks 20 years of creative excellence

    Lanre DaSilva celebrates a major milestone as her eponymous fashion brand marks 20 years of redefining luxury couture and elevating African fashion on the global stage.

    Since launching in 2005, Lanre DaSilva has become a pioneering force in Nigerian fashion, renowned for her distinctive craftsmanship, timeless elegance and her unique fusion of African heritage with contemporary couture. Her work has appeared across leading international media platforms including Vogue, CNN, Elle and more.

    Over the last two decades, the LDA brand has dressed influential women across entertainment, politics, business and culture. Her designs have also been stocked by top global retail platforms such as YOOX, Selfridges London and the prestigious Dolce & Gabbana Spiga 2 concept store in Milan, where she stocked for four consecutive seasons a rare achievement for an African designer.

    She has showcased her collections in major fashion capitals around the world, including New York, London, Milan, Dubai, South Africa, Las Vegas and the Netherlands for Vlisco, reinforcing her status as a global ambassador for African couture.

     To commemorate this landmark achievement, Lanre DaSilva will present “The Anniversary Collection” A 20th Anniversary Fashion Show honouring her journey of creativity, resilience and excellence.   The exclusive event will take place on November 16th and will welcome a distinguished guest list, including high-profile socialites, celebrities, industry leaders and VIP clients who have been instrumental to the brand’s legacy and growth.

    If Nostradamus, the man who sees tomorrow had told Lanre Da-Silva-Ajayi that she would grow up to be a force in the fashion and styling business, she would have dismissed it with a wave of the hand. Despite bagging a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Coventry University U.K. with a dream of having a blooming career in the banking and finance sector, little did she know destiny had something big in stock for her.

    After trying hard to secure a banking job, providence granted her something different. Fashion designing came to the rescue, first as a hobby. She took it a step further by opening a fashion outfit starting at her parent’s house before the company grew into a well-structured fashion outfit with heaven-on-heart outlets littered across.

    In the face of the stiff competition with another fashion outfit, LDA as she is fondly called, is still singled out due to her ingenuity and Midas touch of Gold, a reason her list clientele has increased astronomically. The Lago State-born fashionpreneur’s staying power is her ability to combine unique pattern prints, and exquisite and even traditional fabrics to produce day wear, evening wear, gowns and cocktail dresses.

    She has showcased her fashion designs at the Milan Fashion Week, Italy, where she was the only Nigerian to feature at the Vogue Talent Exhibition.

    Last weekend on the 17th of November, while she would be celebrating her 20th year in the fashion business next year, the daughter of the Former Secretary to the Lagos State Government unveiled SS25 women’s luxury collections. She gathered top influencers, models, actors and other clientele for the unveiling of her collections where she displayed her wizardry in fashion with different patterns and also made a huge fashion statement. The event celebrated music, food, culture, colours, fashion and style.  Dasliva disclosed that the muse that led to her new designs was inspired by nature, books, women and others.
