    Lekan Osifeso’s impressing outing

Retro Group boss and Construction Czar Otunba Lekan Osifeso is a man in a league of his own. Despite being a socialite and business magnate of a high standard, he is well-revered among his peers.

Highly refined and cosmopolitan, the Olotu Oluwa of Ijebu land appears in grand opulence with fewer words.

When it comes to construction, he is an authority. The more reason why top clientele is fighting hard to have his conglomerate on their project is because of his finicky nature and his eye for quality. If there is one thing he never jokes with is his luxurious lifestyle. He loves to keep it simple yet classy. He is a debonair and anything he rocks is not what you can see anywhere because it’s either premium or vintage. Despite his wide exposure and his well-travelled nature, he is a man of culture.

The Ijebu-Ode-born Madasa of Ijebuland has once again shown his organisational skills. With much ado over the birthday planning of the revered Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona on his 90th birthday celebration, the Chairman Planning Committee Otunba Lekan once again showed his organisational skills and eye for quality.

While many were impressed with the orderliness, arrangement and flow of the event, Otunba Osifeso, who is also an avid team player, told anyone who is giving him the accolades that it’s a team effort and no single tree makes a forest. He has also said kudos should not be given to only him but to the rest of the dedicated team who left their business to plan to make the event a memorable one. But close sources say Otunba Osifeso showed his class act by crossing every T’s and dotting all the I’s just to make the event a smooth and memorable one.

  • Lekan Osifeso, the new kid on the block

These are happy times for children of the rich who are establishing footholds in the entertainment industry, sometimes to the consternation of their wealthy parents, and at other times to the bewilderment of the general public who often wonder what the apparently spoilt kids are doing in a sector dominated by people with grass-to-grace stories.

Little wonder that a lot of skepticism greeted the likes of Davido when they joined the music industry. But the man has since become a huge success, paving the way for the likes of Abimbola Dehinde Fernandez, Ife Otedola a.k.a. DJ Cuppy and other heirs of the elites to also crack the musical circle.

One more silver-spoon kid has now joined the ever-increasing ranks. He is none other than Olalekan Osifeso Jnr a.k.a. Lojay. The dude is the son of A-list celebrity and head honcho of Lekai Group of Companies, Otunba Lekan Osifeso. The new kid on the block is set to take the Nigerian entertainment scene by storm, beginning from next year.

The 20-year old Lojay, based in the UK where he studied, has already released two singles. The first, a fun, danceable number, is titled Solo Matter, while his sophomore effort is called Kulikuli. Both have been enjoying plenty of airtime in the UK and receiving rave reviews from music lovers.

  • Lekan Osifeso throws gates open for Ramadan

With the demeanour of a king and the heart of a vicar, Otunba Lekan Osifesso is a personification of humility. Those who know the popular socialite and Chairman of Lekai Group of Companies well would attest to the fact that although he was born into an aristocratic family, he derives a lot of pleasure from mingling with ordinary people. Even more remarkable is his eagerness to spread the love in his heart and share his affluence with others.

As it has become customary for the President of the Association of Indigenous Contractors, the month of Ramadan has provided another opportunity for him to showcase his humanitarian instincts. Since the Ramadan fast began, the gates of his mansion have been thrown open for the Muslim faithful to break their fast with free meals. Reports say that in the process, the Otunba Adeshemowo of Ijebuland has also provided employments for caterers whose services he has secured to ensure that sumptuous and hygienic meals are provided in large quantity.

Still fresh in the memory of many is the launch of a foundation named after his father sometime ago. Recently, he was conferred with the Special Recognition Award by the Nigeria Union of Journalists on the occasion of the World Press Freedom Day for his contribution to the growth of the union.

According to some, Lekan Osifeso is simply worming his way into the hearts of people as he prepares the ground for his advent into politics. However, those in the know have refuted this claim, stating that Osifeso has a strong dislike for politics. Only time will tell if Otunba Osifeso intends to dive into the murky waters of politics.

    Lekan Osifeso debunks Bulletin rummour

AS you read this, Otunba Lekan Osifeso, prominent businessman, is in high dudgeon. His fury stems from the rumours that he is running Faysal Harb’s company, Bulletin Construction, aground.

According to rumour mongers, when Lekan partnered with Chief Faysal Harb, he made some faulty decisions that were responsible for many unpalatable incidents in the company. This was before he went ahead to set up his own company, Lekai Construction Company.

But Osifeso has since debunked the rumour, saying he has nothing to do with the negative events that hit the company. He said: “This is a baseless rumour, because when I was working at Bulletin Construction, I wasn’t a signatory to the company’s account. I contributed my own quota to the company before I set up my own business.”

Lekai Construction is one of the few indigenous companies that are leading the way in the construction sector. He has managed to become a major force in the effort to address unemployment and youth restiveness in Ogun State by taking many jobless youths off the streets.

    Lekan Osifeso under pressure

Chief Lekan Osifeso, the Otunba Adeshemowo in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State is not just another moneybag who throws his weight around for attention. He has carved a niche for himself in his philanthropic endeavours.

It therefore did not come as a surprise when the news filtered in that he has been under tremendous pressure from his people in Ijebu land, who have been urging him to throw his hat into the ring for an elective office.

According to information obtained by Celeb Watch, some youths and elders from his constituency recently paid him a visit in his Abuja home, urging to “please come and serve us.” The visitors were said to have told him point blank that they had come to seek his participation in the 2015 elections. The group could, however, not reach a consensus on what office they wanted him to seek.

While many of them believe that he has the clout to replace the incumbent governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, others urged him to test his popularity at the upper chamber of the National Assembly. Osifeso was said to have thanked the visitors and told them he would consult with family and friends.
