The Lagos State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a construction company, Summa Group, to develop and construct the Lekki-Epe International Airport.
Announcing the development on his X handle, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu described the project as a “groundbreaking initiative.”
The governor emphasised that the Lekki-Epe International Airport will enhance connectivity, stimulate economic growth, and attract international investments to Lagos.

“This groundbreaking initiative is an essential part of our vision to improve connectivity in Lagos, stimulate economic growth, and draw in global investments,” he said.
According to Sanwo-Olu, the new airport will facilitate travel and create fresh opportunities for businesses and residents across the state.
“Lekki-Epe International Airport will facilitate travel and create new opportunities for businesses and residents throughout the state.”
