Non-governmental organisation (NGO), The Precious Hope Inc., United States, has donated foodstuffs and cash to residents of Makoko in Yaba Local Government of Lagos State.
The support was part of the NGO’s resolve to help the less privileged mitigate effect of hardship in the country.
Founder, Dr. Kayode Abegunde, who resides in U.S. , noted the hardship was as a result of high cost of basic and essential needs.
Abegunde, an Insurance expert, said: “Our goal is to feed many less privileged. Today is for Makoko, we are making arrangement to reach others in Lagos and will extend it to other parts of the country.”

Some beneficiaries, speaking at the distribution, lauded Abegunde, for taking out from what God has blessed him with to support them.
“I want to thank Dr. Abegunde, for giving at this time when we are faced by serious drought in finance and food. What we were given here today will cushion effect of the economic situation.
On behalf of others, I thank him and his Precious Hope, we remain grateful and pray God will continues to bless him, grant him good health and longevity to continue the good deeds.”
