…Falode seeks support to tackle education funding in alma matter
The alumni association of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Osun State has elected a foremost legal luminary, Leye Bunmi Falode as the new Global President.
Falode was elected over the weekend during the 26th Biennial Convention held at the African Centre of Excellence, OAU which brought together delegates from various branches across Nigeria and the diaspora.
Speaking after his emergence, Falode called for support from stakeholders to tackle funding challenges bewildering the school infrastructural development.
In his acceptance speech, he said his team would hit the ground running in pursuing the core values of the Association and building on the solid foundation laid by the founding fathers and past leaders of the alumni body.

He noted that the association is an agent of change for the University which has the major task of providing support for the University, knowing that Government alone cannot shoulder all the responsibilities of running the University.
“I promise to mobilise all Alumni all over the world to contribute their quota to the development of the University, including the Diaspora Branches.”
Falode has Bachelor of Education (History), Obafemi Awolowo University (1989), Master of Public Administration (MPA), Obafemi Awolowo University, LL.B, Obafemi Awolowo University (2002)
He was called to the Nigerian Bar in year 2008. He also had his LL.M at the Obafemi Awolowo University and currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Law
Falode has extensive experience in public service, law practice and in hospitality business. He served as
Senior Special Assistant to former Osun State Governors and as a Former Chairman, Osun State Rent Tribunal.
