Ibassa Ijegun Egba Youth Association in Ibasa/Ijegun-Egba Oguntedo Opetedo Satellite Riverine Town of Lagos State yesterday presented 155 lifejackets to pupils, students.
Speaking at Ibassa Ijegun-Egba, an island in Ori-Ade Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Kareem Idowu, chairman, said the aim was to ensure safety of students on waterways.
He said the lifejackets were donated by a tank farm, AA Rano Nig. and Ranogaz Company, as their CSR to the community.
“One hundred and fifty five students from Ibassa Ijegun-Egba, a riverine area of Lagos, will benefit from this CSR initiative.

“These students live in Ibassa Ijegun- Egba, Satellite Town, Oriade LCDA, where waterways are means of transportation,’’ Idowu said.
Olusegun Wakili, secretary of the association, said the lifejackets were donated by some tank farms in the community, as part of their CSR.
Operation Manager, Ranogaz, Daniel Jombo, said the donation was to ensure safety of pupils and students plying the waterways.
HSE Manager at Rano, Lukuman Sanyaolu, advised the students to make best use of the jackets.
