    Lil Durk arrested over ‘murder-for-hire’ plot

    American rapper, Lil Durk has been reportedly arrested in South Florida and charged with murder-for-hire.

    This in connection to the 2022 killing of Saviay’a Robinson, cousin of rapper Quando Rondo.

    Robinson was fatally shot in Los Angeles, and authorities believe the incident is linked to ongoing gang disputes.

    The five other suspects arrested and charged with murder-for-hire and conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire are Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston.

    Prosecutors allegye that these individuals sought retaliation against Quando Rondo for his suspected involvement in the 2020 murder of Chicago rapper King Von in Atlanta.

    Lil Durk, born Durk Banks, is being held without bond at Broward County Jail, awaiting transfer to U.S. Marshals, according to XXL Magazine.

    The investigation is ongoing as federal authorities continue to gather evidence in this high-profile case.

    Prominent American rapper Durk Banks popularly known as Lil Durk has been arrested in South Florida.

    Lil Durk is being charged with murder-for-hire, and held without bond.

    The 32-year-old rapper was taken into custody in Broward County, Florida, on Thursday, October 24, 2024.

    According to police records, he is being detained in the Broward County Jail, awaiting transfer to U.S. Marshals’ custody.

    The arrest has stirred major conversations as no bond has been set for the rapper at this time. Lil Durk’s team has not yet made any public comments.

    Just hours before Lil Durk’s arrest, five other men allegedly tied to his OTF (Only The Family) collective were also detained.

    These men, all from Chicago, have been charged with murder-for-hire and conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire.

    Their arrests are linked to the 2022 killing of Saviay’a Robinson, the cousin of rapper Quando Rondo, in Los Angeles.

    According to an indictment filed in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, these five men are accused of carrying out the shooting under connections to the OTF collective.

    Prosecutors claim that flights and rental cars for these five individuals were reportedly paid for using a credit card connected to OTF’s label. This connection is being used as part of the evidence by the prosecution to establish the alleged link to Lil Durk’s collective.

    Famous American rapper and singer, Durk Derrick Banks, popularly known as Lil Durk, has expressed a desire to organise a free concert in Nigeria.

    The ‘All My Life’ crooner was scheduled to perform at an event in Lagos this December but failed to show up.

    The rapper explained via his X account that it wasn’t his fault.

    He reiterated his love for Nigeria, promising to hold a “free” concert in the country soon.

    He wrote: “I got to make the show up for free for Nigeria even if I ain’t my fault [I didn’t show up for the December event]. Y’all my family I got y’all 4ever.”

    His latest song ‘All My Life’ which featured J. Cole peaked at number one on Apple Music Nigeria barely 24 hours after its release.
