Actress Lizzy Anjorin has refuted claims of being envious of her longtime rival Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla, following the latter’s recent wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.

In a video shared on Instagram, Anjorin praised Priscilla, describing her as a “beautiful girl” who has charted her own successful path.

She also admired the couple’s wedding, rhetorically asking who could harbor negative feelings toward such a joyful celebration.

Subtly addressing her strained relationship with Iyabo Ojo, Anjorin noted that while some may try to bring her down, God continues to elevate her through their actions.

She said: “Let’s forget about the mother. Let’s face the daughter. Who will ever hate such a wedding? Who dares to hate such a wedding? Do we want to talk about how focused that lady is? How determined she is?” she said.

“The happiness of every mother is to have a daughter who will work along with you, regardless of who you are. Whether you are a thief, a blackmailer, a destroyer, or rich as a mother, every mother prays for a child who always thinks along with the mother.

“Who will hate such a wedding? A wedding that they did not tell us anything negative about the wife or the husband or the mother-in-law or the father-in-law? So, tell me what you want to hate about that wedding?

“If we are talking about the wife, she has been on her own, been a very beautiful girl, she has maintained her lane. I have said that because you are destroying me does not mean I am going to destroy you in return. You guys are trying to destroy me, but instead God is using you to promote me.”

Actress Lizzy Anjorin has opened up about her unwavering admiration for gospel singer Tope Alabi, revealing it as the reason she distanced herself from fellow artist Yinka Alaseyori.

In a recent video, Lizzy disclosed that she declined an invitation to an award event in Canada simply because Yinka, and not Tope, was scheduled to perform.

She also shared that she played Tope Alabi’s songs in solidarity during the singer’s recent online controversy, even though her team advised against it.

However, Lizzy expressed disappointment over Tope Alabi’s silence following a surprise birthday celebration she had hoped would be acknowledged by the gospel star, especially since she felt the gesture was made in Tope’s honour.

She said: “This is the evidence that the person who planned the birthday surprise for me mentioned my name in the email that was sent to Sis Tope Alabi’s team on Jan 26. My fans deliberately called Tope because they know how much I love her. It’s because of Sis Tope that I never played Yinka Alaseyori’s songs on my page. I don’t h@te Yinka but I was just being loyal to Sis Tope.

“I was invited to an award ceremony in Canada, and Yinka was to sing there; I didn’t go because it was not Sis Tope who would sing. When Sis Tope was being dragged recently for not allowing the father of her daughter to be at her wedding, I played my song to support her even though my team told me not to.”

The actress argued that Tope Alabi should have remained professional, regardless of personal feelings.

She emphasised that she supported the singer in the past and even played her songs to show solidarity.

“Aunty Tope, my fans paid you ₦4 million and I have the evidence with me. Even if you were paid ₦500k, were you not an actress before? In acting, we were taught that if you are to kiss your enemy on a movie set, you must do it.

“When the world rejected you, I stood by you. I even play your songs not because I need them, but to support you. No matter how terrible you think I am, I’m not as bad as Prophet Ajanaku.

“You saw the goodness of God in my life when you were outside my place. You called me your sister. No matter how much they paid you, you should not have reacted that way. If you judge me, you are not God,” she said in part.

According to reports, Tope Alabi allegedly refused to alight from her car and asked the driver to turn around upon discovering Lizzy Anjorin was the birthday celebrant.

The actress expressed frustration and disappointment at being accused of theft, reiterating that she is not a thief and would never become one due to her straightforward and disciplined nature.

She said: “Let’s first establish the fact that we’re talking about ₦91,000 gold when a gram of gold was 150,000. A gram of gold is less than a grain of rice so how can you go into the market to steal something less than a grain of rice, a single rice?”

“I’m a certified jewellery seller, I sell gold and diamonds. I am also a certified fabric merchant so how can I stoop so low to go to Eko Idumota to steal a gram of gold? Something that is less than a grain of rice? That is ridiculous. I am not a thief, I will never be a thief. I am too straightforward and too disciplined to become a thief”.

This statement comes after a viral video in February showed Anjorin in a shop, accused of shoplifting, which she claimed was a setup by someone she called “Shekpeteri.”

Lizzy Anjorin continues online drama with Iyabo Ojo

Actress Lizzy Anjorin has continued the online beef with Iyao Ojo while involving other colleagues, Laide Bakare and  Mercy Aigbe.

The Yoruba movie star shared her experiences with Laide and Mercy with whom she was once close, revealing that both of them struck a friendship in America after she was invited to her son’s naming ceremony.

According to Anjorin, their relationship didn’t last long as Iyabo Ojo started getting close to Laide Bakare and ruined their relationship.

She stated that when Mercy Aigbe became the wife of Kazim Adeoti, she invited her to her launch and though Mercy was skeptical that she wouldn’t attend, she showed up for her.

Yet she betrayed her as she and Iyabo were gossiping about her, noting how she saw the stunts they pulled and how they would have bad-mouthed her if the tables were turned and she had invited Mercy party to her party and didn’t reciprocate.

Lizzy stated that despite it all, she would always defend her until she decided to go her own lane.

“Which day did I even see Laide Bakare? Do you know that Laide Bakare and I were in America when she was doing the naming ceremony of her son? Me I don’t keep friends and I am good to everybody. After we partied in America, I distanced myself from her, yet Gistlover was linking us together during her scandal.

“When Mercy Aigbe became the wife of D Owner and invited me to her launch, I told her I would come but she didn’t believe me because she knows I don’t attend parties. Sepeteri, I saw the stunt you pulled, after I went to your party and have I ever invited you to my party? Even when I did the party and you didn’t come, I still defended you.

“Facebook people it’s time I start bringing receipts, which we all would enjoy, so we can know the fake ones around us. After I went to Mercy’s party, I saw all the stunts you all were trying to pull, I saw everything. You didn’t even celebrate me at the party.

“I don’t do social media friendships. If Mercy had attended my party and I hadn’t attended hers, you all would have used that against me. You guys would have given me the name my parents didn’t give me. You all would have called me ungrateful, saying I was beefing you all,” she said.
