Rising star and DMW’s signee Logos Olori has recounted how he was in afrobeats stars DMs while looking for a big record label to sign him.

He revealed that he was in the inboxes of musicians like Don Jazzy and others but was ignored.

He stated this during a recent interview with CoolFM.

According to him, he attempted to contact producer Don Jazzy through DM but did not receive a response.

Logos Olori stated that he had never approached Davido personally in an attempt to secure a record deal but Davido was the only artist who noticed his potential and chose to sign him.

In his words: “Olamide was the first artist that posted my song and co-signed me, I even met him in Dubai and I told him to give me one verse but I chased that verse and unfortunately I didn’t get it. 

“I was in Don Jazzy’s DM, and I was in everybody’s DM but a lot of them won’t reply to me, I was even in Burna Boy’s DM at some point but not for music-related issues that were just for like something he said and I replied and we argued”.

DMW signee, Logos Olori has praised his senior colleague and boss, Davido over his notable influence in the music industry.

Logos shared on his micro-blogging platform X, predicting that in the future, Nigerians would acknowledge Davido’s influence and praise him as the King.

He noted how the music star is normalizing and supporting the Art of songwriting, adding that anything Davido touches turns into gold.

He said: “Many years from now. Nigerians will praise King 001 @davido for normalizing and supporting the Art of songwriting…Anything baba touch Dey turn to Gold.”
