    Lottery Trust Fund implements 78 projects nationwide

    The Executive Secretary, National Lottery Trust Fund, Comrade Tosin Adeyanju, said the fund has implemented no fewer than  78 projects nationwide.

    This was as Adeyanju also urged the government to utilise the fund in its intervention programmes.

    Adeyanju made the disclosure during an audience with the House Committee on Inter-Governmental Affairs who were on an oversight visit.

    NLTF EX according to a statement by Arowolo Solomon Alaba, Special Assistant to the Executive Secretary (Media & Corporate Communications), praised President Bola Tinubu for his efforts in alleviating poverty in Nigeria and urged him to utilise NLTF to reach vulnerable Nigerians.

    “He highlighted NLTF’s mandate to support good causes in health, education, environment, sport, water, disaster relief, and humanitarian activities, citing 78 projects implemented nationwide.

    “He assured equitable distribution of interventions,” if the fund is utilised.

    He also expressed willingness to partner with the lawmakers to achieve NLTF’s mandate.

    The  House Committee on Inter-Governmental Affairs chairman, Chukwugozie Canic Moore Nwachukwu, according to the statement said, “committee aimed to engage with NLTF, assess its activities, and offer solutions to challenges faced by the organisation.

    Nwachukwu stated, “Our visit is to interface with NLTF, understand its successes, problems, and activities, and provide support where needed for the betterment of the country.”

    He noted that this was the committee’s first visit to NLTF and expressed their happiness to be there.

    “We are impressed with NLTF’s work and commit to supporting their initiatives,” Deputy Committee chairman, Ime Okon.

    Other members of the visiting team included Committee Clerk Aimila Kehinde, Esosa Iyane, Ibe Okwara, Agbodike Pascal, and Alex Ikwechegh, with Deputy Clerk Aduku Mercy.
