Lagos State has vowed to sanction traditional medical practitioners if they fail to register their premises with State Traditional Medicine Board (LSTMB).
Registrar, Babatunde Adele spoke in a statement.
He said traditional, complementary and alternative medicine practitioners must regularise their registration on or before February 6.
The order, he noted, was necessary, following quackery in the sector.

Adele said: “Pursuant to the desire of LSTMB to have a comprehensive database of Traditional Medicine Practitioners (TMPs) and Complementary Alternative Medicine Practitioners (CAMPs), the board has approved the revision of the register of practitioners in Lagos State, in accordance with Health Sector Reform Laws of 2005.
“Any TMP who fails to renew his or her licence up to date shall be delisted…”
He advised practitioners to adhere to the directives and assured them of continuous services.
