    Luft Pay TV debuts in Lagos, redefines home entertainment with indigenous contents

    A new era in home entertainment has begun as Luft Pay TV made its debut in Nigeria’s pay TV landscape with an official launch in Lagos, the country’s commercial hub on Monday.

    The high-profile event brought together media executives, content creators, industry stakeholders, and entertainment enthusiasts to witness the unveiling of a brand that promises to deliver not just content—but connection, clarity, and consumer-first value.

    Speaking at the launch, Yemi Adebowale, Head of Corporate Communications and Media at Luft Pay TV, said the brand was a visionary response to the complexities and gaps in Nigeria’s current pay TV offerings.

    “Luft Pay TV is more than just another player in the market. We’re here to simplify entertainment, eliminate confusion around billing, and provide real value with high-definition content that reflects both global quality and local identity,” Adebowale said in a statement.

    According to him Luft Pay TV’s standout feature remains its all-in-one subscription model, offering over 35 premium channels for just ₦7,500 per month. 

    He said the channel lineup includes sports, Nollywood and Hollywood films, kids’ programming, documentaries, music, and lifestyle content—all with no hidden fees or multiple tiers. He explained that the decoder is available at ₦25,000, while a complete STB kit with accessories goes for ₦35,000.

    He said as a Nigerian brand, Luft Pay TV would championing local storytelling by partnering with indigenous content creators to produce and showcase original African content.

    He said it was part of a long-term vision to not only entertain local audiences but to project African stories to the world.

    He said the company has already started nationwide installations across the six geopolitical zones, backed by a fast-growing distribution network and a robust customer service infrastructure designed to ensure a seamless user experience.

    Governors Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa) and Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau) have made a case for indigenous content in the programmes of Luft pay TV across the country. 

    The Governors also expressed excitement over the economic opportunities and potentials of the pay TV in the industry. 

    Speaking at the launch of the digital pay TV at A-Class Parkland, Maitama, at the weekend in Abuja, Sule who commended the Founder and CEO, Dr Bright Echefu, said it was time to use the Pay TV channels to promote Nigeria’s culture, history, sports and youths development. 

    Mutfwang said Luft PayTV has come to stay to promote local initiatives, boost the entertainment industry and break monopoly for shared values and investment opportunities in the country. 

    Echefu said the organisation has begun a revolutionary television service with its official inauguration, ushering in a new era of entertainment for Nigeria.
