The central midfielder would have made his long awaited comeback against Volyn on Sunday evening but was pulled out of the squad at the last minute.

With no game under his belt before his move to Hoverla, Haruna was getting back to his best before his injury.

The former Monaco man, who is tied to Dynamo Kiev for one more year, is being linked with a transfer to Turkey in the summer transfer market.

Dynamo Kiev deny Nice’s, Saint-Etienne’s quest for Lukman Haruna

DynamoKiev supremo Igor Surkis has rubbished reports that claimed Nice were interested in out-of-favour midfielder Lukman Haruna.

And the president of the Kievites has also cleared the air on suggestions that the Nigeria international would be used as makeweight in the deal to bring Saint-étienne’s Franck Tabanou to the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex.

“If we receive offers from other clubs, we will consider them. If they suit us, we sell him. No offer has been received from Nice yet. We are not considering neither this or any other transfers, at all,” Igor Surkis was quoted as saying by Sport Express Ukraine, according to football.ua.

Haruna is currently represented by influential agent Greg Keenan, who negotiated  Lars Lagerback’s contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) back in 2010.

Manchester City starlet Kelechi Iheanacho, Obafemi Martins and Ikechukwu Uche have already been widely linked with a return to the Eagles after they were overlooked by former coach Stephen Keshi.
AfricanFootball.com has now gathered that Lukman Haruna of Dynamo Kiev and Schalke 04 forward Obasi have been added to the growing list of players who will be given another chance by the African champions.
“Amodu will keep the core of the squad Keshi has worked with recently, but at least five of those who have not been part of the set-up for some time now will be considered,” a top official informed AfricanFootball.com
“Lukman Haruna and Obasi among those to be so recalled as well.”
Midfielder Haruna has battled injuries at his Ukrainian club recently, but the class of the former captain of the Nigeria U17 and U20 teams has never been in doubt.

    Dynamo Kiev drop Lukman Haruna

Nigeria international Lukman Haruna will not be on parade at the Nordiyske Arena when Dynamo Kiev square off against Aalborg in the Europa League today.

The central midfielder has recovered from injury but he is lacking match fitness, which has contributed to the decision of manager Sergei Rebrov to omit him from the traveling party to Denmark.

However, that should not raise eyebrows, with his last appearance for the Kievites coming exactly three months ago in the Super Cup clash against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Having said that, the 23 – year – old was one of the most outstanding players for the capital outfit during pre – season training.

Lukman Haruna last featured in the Europa League last February in the goalless draw with Valencia.

    Agent: Clubs want Lukman Haruna

Dynamo Kiev midfielder could end his three – year association with the Ukrainian club this summer, his bonafide agent, Greg Keenan has strongly hinted.

The Nigeria international is in search of regular first team football next season, which the Kievites did not offer him in the 2013 – 2014 campaign, with only 9 starts in the championship, his worst for the past five seasons.

And to add insult to injury, manager Rebrov omitted him from the Ukrainian Cup final clash against Shakhtar Donetsk, a clear handwriting on the wall that he is not in the plans of the coach.

“Some clubs have expressed interest in Lukman Haruna. But I am not prepared to call the names of his suitors and the countries where there’s interest for him now,” Greg Keenan told allnigeriasoccer.com.

Influential agent, Greg Keenan negotiated Lars Lagerback’s contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) back in 2010.

  • Keshi to recall Haruna, Ike Uche

Keshi to recall Haruna, Ike Uche

Lukman Haruna and Ikechukwu Uche are to be recalled to the Super Eagles ahead of the World Cup in Brazil, officials have said.

And both players could well get their chance as early as next month’s pre-World Cup friendly against Mexico in United States.

Dynamo Kiev midfielder Haruna has been superb for his Ukrainian club after a recent injury setback, while Villarreal striker Uche has scored 12 goals in La Liga.

However, it is left to be seen whether a hamstring injury suffered by Uche last week may not stop him from the Mexico match.

Haruna last played for Nigeria at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, while Uche has not been involved with the national team since the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations also in South Africa.

MTNFootball.com also gathered that several other players who were not part of the qualifiers for Brazil 2014, but have been doing well at their various clubs in Europe will also be considered by Stephen Keshi.

“My team will be open to any Nigerian player who is doing well,” maintained Keshi.

The Eagles will resume training camp by the end of the month ahead of the friendly against Mexico on March 5.
