No contract renewal for Moses, says Luton Town

Ex-Super Eagles and Chelsea wing-back, Victor Moses, has parted ways with EFL Championship side, Luton Town, following their demotion.

At the start of the season, the 34-year-old joined The Hatters from Spartak Moscow on a free deal as Luton had just been demoted from the English Premier League (EPL).

Following the two consecutive relegations suffered by Luton in two seasons, Moses’ spell with Matt Bloomfield’s side wasn’t the most pleasant. Luton will now play in the EFL League One next campaign.

As a result of their demotion, Luton’s official website reported that there will be no renewal for the former Super Eagles player, Tim Krul, and other first-team players, bringing the ex-Crystal Palace man’s one-year stint at Kenilworth Road to an end.

Luton condemn racist abuse against Adebayo

Luton Town said the club was angry and frustrated after striker Elijah Adebayo was subjected to racist abuse on social media.

The English Championship club said in a statement on Thursday that the 26-year-old player had again received racist messages on his Instagram account, having dealt with the same issue a year ago.

“Abuse of any kind is unacceptable. But does everyone know that? That’s why we’re doing our part to educate everyone that racism and all forms of abuse are abhorrent and unacceptable,” the club said.
