    Maccabi Tel Aviv wants Igiebor

Norwegian-Nigerian agent, Atta Aneke, has commented on the transfer situation of his client, Real Betis midfielder Nosa Igiebor.

The Nigeria international is at the Andalusian outfit’s pre-season training sessions for the start of their campaign in the Segunda Division. But his soul is not with the club and he has been undergoing individual practice since returning to Spain.

A couple of teams based in Spain and Israel could rescue the Super Eagle from this nightmare, however, the powers that be at Real Betis have rejected some of the bids outright as they failed to meet their valuation of the player.

”Nosa Igiebor is still a Real Betis player. Maccabi Tel Aviv have not met the valuation set by Real Betis and he respects that.

”Apart from Maccabi, 2 – 3 teams in the Primera División want him on loan but we are not focusing on that now. Talks are ongoing but not concluded.

”It is beyond my power to determine his present transfer fee but I know Betis paid around 1 million Euros to Hapoel Tel Aviv to enable him move to Spain,” says Atta Aneke to SL10.ng.

Though Nosa Igiebor is keen on sealing an exit from Real Betis before the close of the summer transfer window, he is still contracted to the club for the next two seasons.

    Maccabi offer Enyeama 3yrs deal

Israeli champions Maccabi Tel Aviv have offered a three-year contract to Nigeria international Vincent Enyeama, informs one.co.il.

Due to his lack of first team opportunities at French club Lille, the experienced goalkeeper spent last season on loan at Maccabi Tel Aviv, but had to return to his parent club when that agreement expired at the end of the campaign.

A credible performance by Enyeama at the FIFA Confederations Cup means clubs are vying for his signature.

It is known that newly promoted La Liga side Almeria are attempting to use their contacts in Israel to lure the Super Eagle to Spain.

Maccabi Tel Aviv general manager Jordi Cruijff has an alternative plan in case Enyeama rejects their overtures .

While Vincent Enyeama is thinking about the proposal from Maccabi Tel Aviv, the leadership is discussing with Cameroon goalie Carlos Kameni.

MACCABI TEL AVIV LOAN DEAL ENYEAMA CONFIRMS LILLE RETURN

NIGERIA custodian Vincent Enyeama has once again stated that he will return to Lille when his loan deal with Israeli champions Maccabi Tel Aviv expires.

Enyeama is being paid 900,000 euros per season at Lille and has two more years before his contract runs out. In his first season with the French team, he was relegated to the bench and had to look for a new team to enable him play on a continuous basis this campaign.

”I have a signed contract for another two years with Lille and it is perfectly normal I would have to honour the contract and return there immediately after the season here in Israel. In Europe, it is not acceptable to talk to a trainer and ask him if I’ll be number 1 or number 2. I hope the coach believes in me and let me play with Lille ,” Enyeama told one.co.il.

Enyeama will fight for a starting shirt with Steve Elana and Barel Mouko.

Enyeama: Maccabi can’t afford my contract price

Vincent Enyeama says a permanent move to Maccabi Tel Aviv in the summer transfer market might be difficult to achieve as the Israeli log leaders look to have little financial muscle to prise him from Lille.

Just before the commencement of the season, the Nigeria custodian joined the Yellows on loan due to his lack of first team opportunities at Lille. The agreement between both clubs will run out in the next three months.

”The reality is that I have a contract for two more years with Lille. To be here next season should be negotiated between the clubs. Israel is an amazing place to be and I can not deny that,”Enyeama told sports.walla.co.il.

”Considering my age, my contract and my life, I’m not sure Maccabi could afford to pay my contract next season. Bring me from Lille means investing a lot of money.

”They will have to pay a very high exit clause that stands at three million euros. I do not think Lille will be willing to lend me again under the conditions of the current season. Now they pay something like 70 percent of my wages and Maccabi pay a small fee.”

The Eagles shot-stopper also confessed that he was frustrated with his lack of first team action at Lille. At his previous clubs, he was always guaranteed game time.

”The weather was terrible, minus 12 or minus 15 degrees and you’re sitting on the bench and freezing. It’s definitely very frustrating, but that’s life and that is the reality I wrestled., I lost my joy And it was very bad.

”How can I be happy when I’m not playing? I’ll give you an example., we had meetings with fans during the week. Sometimes it hurts so much to hear a fan ask me: ‘Excuse me, what’s your name, Who are you? Are you a new player here ? ‘.

”It was embarrassing., no one knew me because they did not see me on the field, kind of humiliation,” he said.

Enyeama, who is expected to skipper the Super Eagles at next weekend’s World Cup qualifier against Kenya, has suited up 19 times in the Israeli top flight.

ENYEAMA OPENS UP WHY I JOINED MACCABI TEL AVIV

SUPER EAGLES’ stand-in goalie, Vincent Enyeama has disclosed that Maccabi Tel Aviv showed enough seriousness to have him in their fold while Hapoel Tel Aviv, his former club kept mute about their desire.

Enyeama in a chat with SportingLife in Calabar recently stated that he chose Maccabi despite being city rivals to his previous club because Hapoel have had their quota for foreign based players occupied while his present on loan club came in manhunt to get him.

“I didn’t have a reason to go back to Hapoel because the players at the club had filled up the five foreign slots and Maccabi needed me. Hapoel has goal keepers and did not demand for my recall so I went to where I will be able to get games that I clamoured for in France,” he said.

Reacting to the demonstrations from Hapoel’s fans of his alleged betrayal of one-time club, Enyeama stressed that he stayed calm and never cared about the fans’ backlash but concentrated on his next target-which is to do well for Maccabi. “I am a professional. I stayed calm and calculated and moved on to do my job because I don’t care about what happened on the streets,” the former Enyimba goaltender said.

The Cross River born player who was the skipper when the Eagles got a ticket to next year’s Africa Cup of Nations slated for South Africa at the expense of Liberia’s Lone Stars expressed his delight at the nation’s qualification which he recalled was a bitter pill to swallow last year when the country’s hope for a place in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea was truncated by the Syli Stars of Guinea in Abuja.
