Rotary club of Omole-Golden has visited Makoko Community Development Foundation School and Orphanage in Makoko, Lagos State. It distributed food packs and sanitary pads to people, showcasing its commitment to serving the community through one of the Rotary areas of focus: ‘Basic Education and Literacy’. During the event, the club President, Rotarian Jide Ogunleye, delivered a welcome address, highlighting the club’s mission and dedication to making a positive impact.
The highlight of the visit was a talk on ‘Simple Hygiene’, by Dr Omowunmi Bakare, which aimed to educate and empower children with knowledge.

The founder of the school, Mr. Urban Wheduto, narrated a brief history of the institution, which provides education, meals and clothes to children free of charge. Wheduto thanked Rotary Club of Omole-Golden for its kind gesture, acknowledging the impact it would have on the lives of children.
