Take advantage of Tinubu’s masses-oriented policies, Dogho urges SS leaders, youths

A popular Christian cleric in Warri, Delta State, Pastor Matthew Dogho, has tasked Nigerian parents, youths, and community leaders with taking advantage of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s masses-oriented policies to secure their future and develop the region.

Dogho, General Overseer of Daily Miracle Church, noted that the microcredit schemes for SMEs, student loan schemes and technical education programs of the current offer hope for countless.

In a live broadcast monitored in Port Harcourt on Sunday, Dogho noted that parents, guardians and students are not taking advantage of them because they are mostly focused on complaining about how bad things are without looking at the bright side.

“See the student loan initiative is a great opportunity for parents and students who are finding it difficult to pay their school fees, feed and cater for themselves. This program is for indigent and struggling families, but many people are not taking advantage of it.

“The government pays your school fees and also gives you money for upkeep from the beginning to the end of your higher education. You will only start paying when you’re working. They are even begging you to come and take the offer.

“Students from other parts of the country, including the North, are getting full value for it. Why are we not doing that? It is because parents are not looking out for such opportunities and students are wasting their time on social media.”

It would be recalled this newspaper has raised concerns in a special report on the low patronage of the Southsouth and Southeast of the loan scheme.

The revered cleric also frowned at the lack of interest in the recent technical education initiative, which offers free education and pays monthly stipends for students in technical schools.

He warned that the Southsouth must stop complaining and start acting, noting that those who failed to take advantage of laudable policies would only have themselves to blame when other regions excelled as a result of their proactive approach.

“We should not say that other regions are oppressing us while we are the ones sabotaging outsells,” Pastor Dogho said

He particularly challenged members of his congregations to take advantage of the current administration’s people-friendly policies, urging them to register companies to participate and benefit in training, loan schemes and other financial instruments.
