He had been in a relationship with a Swedish girlfriend since 2014, and during his visit, he met her parents and decided to settle down.

Unfortunately, May D said his marriage came to an end during the COVID-19 lockdown.

“I was on an European tour and Sweden was the last leg of the tour. I already had a girlfriend from Sweden since 2014, she was always visiting Nigeria. I met her parents when I visited her country, and they were cool so we decided to get married. I decided to get a house there because of her, and I started living there.

“I was a house husband while my wife was working. I was only doing shows there, but was making more than her if I get shows. I didn’t care about being a house husband because we had a child and I was the one taking care of the child. My wife couldn’t be working and taking care of the baby at the same time.

“We eventually divorced during COVID-19 because I got stuck in Nigeria. Even if I was cheating that wasn’t a reason for the divorce because”.

May D hinted that infidelity was not the reason for the divorce, but he did not elaborate on the specific circumstances surrounding the split.
