    In an interview with comedian AY Makun, May shared that actress and producer Omoni Oboli had personally urged her to accept a role, but she declined.

    May revealed she’s been rejecting movie offers for three years, despite attractive payments and opportunities.

    “Omoni said she doesn’t know how I am going to do it, I can’t tell her No. I told her that for the past 3 years, I had gotten script and movie r,oles, and people were willing to pay mouthwatering amounts.

    “You know, producers have been calling, directors have been calling, some familiar faces have called, and I have rejected everything. I said I didn’t want to be an actor or actress”.

    She attributed her decision to her multifaceted nature, stating, “I know that I am this kind of jack of all trades, master of all kinds, type of person. There are a whole lot of things I can do if I set my mind on it”.

    After filing for divorce due to alleged adultery following Yul’s marriage to Judy Austin, May faced backlash from some men.

    In an interview with AY Makun on Glasshouse podcast, May clarified her stance, emphasising her love for family and marriage. 

    She explained that her decision to divorce was not intended to advocate for separation or divorce.

    May expressed commitment to the institution of marriage, highlighting its importance as the foundation of family. 

    She added that marriage is essential for building strong families and societies.

    May said: “Some men see me as someone that is misleading their wives.

    “I love family and marriage, but there is a misconception about marriage that is totally different, but ideally marriage is the basis of family. Because there would be no you or me without family. That is how it used to be.

    “I’m not in any way advocating separation or divorce in any way. Let me categorically state it now that I’m not an advocate for divorce.”

    The Nation reported that Yul had on Tuesday via his social media platform accused May of undergoing breast enlargement surgery after the loss of their first son in 2023 without his consent.

    Following the continuous dragging, Yul wondered why May failed to detach ‘Edochie’ from her name despite filing for a divorce.

    He further questioned why May’s family is yet to return the bride price he paid after she filed for a divorce.

    Yul wrote: “You have filed for divorce. Yet you refused to drop my name. Return the bride price I paid, you and your family refused. I have asked for the return of the bride price a couple of times, but you people vehemently refused. I don’t understand why.”

Too many adversities | and misfortunes and the worst of it you stole my own flesh and blood leaving me in the most devastating, miserable and confused state that I could never have imagined.

    “I lost all hope and nearly gave up, I had too many questions eating me all up but I kept hearing that voice echoing, “Who am I to question God”?

Truly, I appreciate all the good people you made me cross paths with (my family, friends, strangers turned friends, and my online family). I cannot begin to list names cos it is endless but I want y’all to know that I will forever remain thankful for the incredible level of love and support showered upon me and my family in our most difficult times.

    “I’m grateful to God Almighty for being God in my life, in other words, I’m so glad that man is not God. 2023, it is with all that is within me, that I say goodbye to you forever as I embrace the new year 2024 singing my song with a life of thanksgiving, a life of forgiveness, and a life of commitment to God.
