    Actress Mide Martins has shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram to mark the 23rd anniversary of her mother, Funmi Martins’ death.

    Reflecting on the loss that still lingers in her memory, Martins described her late mother as a rare gem and a true angel in human form.

    Mide expressed deep sorrow, noting that thoughts of her mother continue to bring tears, while emphasising that her mother’s cherished memories and lasting impact remain indelible.

    Actress Mide Martins has showered prayers and praise on her husband, Afeez Owo over a new upcoming movie.

    Sharing a video of them on set, Mide expressed gratitude to God, saying: “What God cannot do does not exist!”

    Mide Martins, husband apologise to Wumi Toriola over film error

    Popular Nollywood actress Mide Martins and her movie producer spouse, Afeez Owo, have issued a heartfelt apology to their colleague, Wumi Toriola, regarding an unintentional error.

    Wumi garnered attention on social media on Tuesday, October 17, when a video of her changing wigs while performing in the same scene circulated online.

    In the viral clip, Wumi was seen confronting her partner when the unexpected happened.

    The movie star’s wig was changed while she was still acting in the same scene.

    The video, which made rounds, sparked mixed reactions as many mocked the continuity manager and director for the error, while others poked fun at the actress.

    Taking to their Instagram page, Mide Martins and Afeez Owo, who were the producers of the movie, tendered an apology to Wumi Toriola.

    In a joint statement, they noted how it was an expensive error from the production crew at the editing stage.

    They wrote: “Our sincere apology to actress, Wumi Toriola for the error made by our editor in the movie: Ija.

    “Our attention has been drawn to the inconsistency in the wig/props used in one of the scenes involving “Actress Wunmi Toriola” in our latest movie IJA. We would like to state categorically that the error was not from Wunmi Toriola at all.

    “Rather it was an expensive mistake from the post-production crew at the editing stage. (The Editor). Our sincere apologies to the thespian in question Wunmi Toriola @wumitoriola and all the fans out there.

    “We appreciate your feedback, as this will help to keep us on our toes always, knowing that our viewers demand the best from us. Thank you.”

    Nigerian actors and filmmakers Mide Martins and Nkechi Blessing Sunday have signed a production deal with Nigeria’s leading pay-TV company, StarTimes.

    This is coming few months after Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello, signed a production deal with the pay-TV company with his series ‘Alagbara’, which focuses on some issues concerning families and how effective the women in these families are.

    Although details of the deal of Mide Martins contract is yet to be disclosed by the actress, she shared pictures of contract deal with the company.

    In what seem to be a reconciliatory pose, sultry actress Mide Martins seems to have reunited with her producer husband, Afeez Owo. The actress took to her Instagram account to share a picture of herself and husband, captioning it, ‘On set with my boo.’

    It will be recalled that last month, Mide had taken to Instagram to reveal a crisis in her marriage and detailed reasons why both she and her husband were going their separate ways.

    Reacting to fans who insinuated that all was not well when she failed to celebrate her husband on his birthday on April 13 after her husband celebrated her on her birth on April 12, Martins bursts on Instagram, accusing her of abandoning her and their children for over three months. But on Saturday, Martins took to Instagram to clarify things in several posts.

    “How can I celebrate a man that has abandoned me and his kids for over three months now without looking back and made it clear he wasn’t ready to get back to me,” Martins who also accused her husband of wanting to kill her had queried.

    Though, the mother of two daughters pulled down the post and she announced also on Instagram a week later that she and her husband had settled their differences.

    Two months ago there were reports of cracks in the home of popular actress, Mide Martins and her husband; Afeez Adetoro. The thespian had earlier stated that her husband moved out of the home after a series of fights over allegations of infidelity which the actress denied.

    Fortunately, the industry has been spared the trauma of another celebrity marriage biting the dust. On Sunday April 24, 2016, the pretty actress took to Instagram to share her joy at the reunion between her and her husband. She also shared pictures of her and her spouse in a loving pose on Instagram with a loving caption directed to her hubby. The elated wife and mother was quick to state that the storm is over in her marriage. “The Storm Is Over!”

    Thanking her creator, fans and well wishers for their support she said, “Thank You Lord for This Great Reunion! And I Say A Very Big Thanks To All Our Fans and Well Wishers. Thank You for Your Prayers and Concern. We Sincerely Appreciate You All.”

    She avowed deep affection for her husband and also took the time to thank him for always supporting her.  She said, “You Are Not Just My Husband. You Are My Guardian Angel. Thank You for Always Being There For Me. I Will Forever Love You!”

    Mide Martins opens up marital crisis, then brings down post

    After a barrage of crticisms from her fans, popular Yoruba actress, Mide Martins, has pulled down an Instagram post she put up on Saturday in which she detailed why she and her husband are going their separate ways.

    In the post, Martins gave her own side to the story of her marital crisis which started making the rounds on social media last week after she and her husband, Afeez Owo, both celebrated their birthdays on April 12 and April 13 respectively.

    While her husband, Afeez Owo, put his wife’s picture on his Instagram to mark her birthday, Martins declined doing same for her husband.

    This move did not go unnotice to fans who began insinuating that her marriage was on the rocks and she was no longer in her matrimonial home.

    But on Saturday, Martins took to Instagram to clarify things in several posts.

    She said she could not celebrate her husband by posting his pictures on his birthday because he  abandoned the house and their children for over three months.

    “So many people abused, cursed, judged, criticized and even condemned me for not uploading his picture on his birthday. How can I celebrate a man that has abandoned me and his kids for over three months now without looking back and made it clear he wasn’t ready to get back to me”

    Also, countering comments that she moved out of her matrimonial home, Martins said it was her husband that moved out of their house to a new apartment after an argument three months ago over the well-being of their children.

    “Presently as we speak, he’s now (living) in his new house, neglected his wife, kids and responsibilities since. I tried to resolve this issue by informing some of our close relatives but all to no avail. I guess his mind was strongly made up and must have his reasons for wanting to be a free man. Naturally couples do have issues between each (other) which are meant to be resolved between them amicably, not taking such a drastic measure like moving out of the house.”

    Aside the couple’s two daughters, Martins said her husband also abandoned two of their cousins and a house help when he left over three months ago.

    The actress also insinuated that her husband was seeking her downfall.

    “My husband why are you trying to destroy me? Why do you wanna kill me? What will be your achievement? Why do you wish to destroy my career? This is the career that gives me money to feed the children that came out from your flesh and blood. Why do I deserve this kind of hatred from you? Is this what I get for having stayed by your side and supported you for good 13 years?”

    However, as at yesterday, the actress had pulled down posts concerning her marital crisis.
