    Mighty Jets charge new technical crew

    The management of Mighty Jets of Jos has urged the new coaches  to work hard to improve the fortunes of the club.
    Mighty Jets would commence full preparations ahead of the new Season.

    The management stated this while unveiling members of the Technical Department ahead of the 2016/2017 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

    In a statement released by the Club’s Media Officer, MBUM FERDINAND,the names of technical crews members are as follows: Adams Usman  Technical Adviser while Adeyemi Dairo will serve as Chief Coach.  The likes of Shehu Aliyu Laka, Garba musa Bambers,Abubakar Abubakar and Steven lokrit will all serve as assistants.

    Coaches for the Feeder Team are as follows, Tony ubaka remains the Chief Coach while Yahaya Aminu, Isiyaka Haliru and Abdullah Lawandi will all serve as assistants.

    Wukari promises to return Mighty Jets to Premier League

    New Chairman of Mighty Jets Football Club of Jos, Alexander Noel Wukari, has said that he is committed to returning the club back to Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) with the help of the newly constituted board members.

    Speaking after the inauguration, conducted by the President, Mighty Jets Board of Founders, Ismaila Mabo, an elated Chairman, Wukari, said “It’s very shameful and disheartening Mighty Jets, which is among the leading clubs, who won the first league trophy in Nigeria in 1972, is still playing in the second tier of club football in Nigeria. To me, the focus now is to bring this club that has lots of fans and followers both home and abroad, back to the Premier League where they will be rubbing shoulders with some other traditional club sides like Rangers of Enugu, Shootings Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, Kano Pillars, among others.”

    Wukari, who received the baton of leadership from Godfrey Hamza, charged them to work with new board and return Mighty Jets FC to the elite division.

    The newly appointed Marketing Director of Mighty Jets FC, Sammy Adesoji, thanked the club for the confidence reposed in him to work with the club and promised to contribute his own quota to the development of the club and also making sure that Mighty Jets gain promotion back to the Premier League.

    Other members of the new board are: AlhajiSalisu Isa Blanco (first Vice Chairman), Architect Noel Aywila (second Vice Chairman) and Alhaji Nasiru Rabiu Director of Administration.

    The former Super Eagles star, Benedict Akwuegbu, John Barry and Alhaji Ado TalleMaifata completed the list.

    Premier League ticket: Mighty Jets congratulate Plateau United

    The management of Nigeria National Division One Outfit, Mighty Jets FC of Jos, has congratulated city rivals, Plateau United FC for gaining promotion into the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL.

    In a statement released by the Club through its Media Officer, Mbum Ferdinand, the Club praised the overwhelming resilience of the management team of Plateau United led by Bitrus Bewarang and the determination of the playing Staff to succeed against the odds during the campaign to win the Nigeria National League Division One A slot which they eventually won.

    The management also reminded their rivals that they must work harder towards sustaining their position in the NPFL as the elite league is more competitive and more challenging.

    Meanwhile, Mighty Jets FC have fixed November 1 2015 as the resumption date for Players and Officials of the Club as the club commences preparations ahead of the 2015/2016 NNL Season.

    Mighty Jets to other Nigerian clubs- Leave our players alone

    The Management of Mighty Jets of Jos have warned National League and Premier League clubs to desist from discussing possible contract talks with their playing staff.

    In a press statement signed by the club’s Media Officer, Mbum Ferdinard, the Jos based club has beckoned on rival clubs to steer clear of their stars particularly their leading scorer in the National League last season, Justin Fan.

    Mbum further stated that the club is aware that some premier league clubs are negotiating with the player without prior authorisation. He declared that the player is not for sale because Mighty Jets rely on him and their other top stars to return to the premier league at the end of the coming season.

    Fan finished last season’s National League as the highest scorer with 16 goals from 20 games.

    Meanwhile, Mighty Jets’ Technical Director, Bernard Ogbe has given the players a short break because of the Christmas festivity but they have been instructed to resume back to camp on December 27th.

    Ogbe hinted that the short holiday was to disallow room for loss of form ahead of the National League season which starts on January 25, 2014.
