    COME November 29, in recognition of their achievements the duo of Osun State governor, Rauf Aregbesola and the CEO of Ebony LifeTV, Mo Abudu, will be honoured at the second edition of Goal Attainment Made Easy (GAME2013).

    Aregbesola is being honoured for his outstanding contributions to education in Osun State while Mo Abudu is being honoured for her giant strides in entertainment and empowering African youths.

    GAME has been described as Africa’s number one conference on workforce productivity. Notable personalities expected include Professor Pat Utomi, Prince Julius Adelusi Adeluyi and Jimi Awosika. Sir Ademola Aladekomo and Mrs. Amina Oyagbola are on the faculty for this conference with Dr. Christopher Kolade as Chief Host.

    Renowned broadcasters will today gather at the Trenchard Hall of the University of Ibadan (UI) in Oyo State to discuss the content and future of broadcasting in Nigeria.

    The theme of the biennial lecture, organised by the Yemi Sonde Entertainment in partnership with the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC), is “Balancing Professionalism and Commercialisation in a Digital Era”.

    Discussants at the lecture include CEO, EbonyLife TV, MO Abudu; Managing Director and CEO, Channels Television, John Momoh; Group Managing Director, Daar Communications Plc, Tony Akiotu; broadcast equipment marketer Ayodeji Osibogun; General Manager, Faaji FM, Dr. Ambrose Somide; Mr. Yanju Adegbite and ace broadcaster and actor Mr. Yemi Sodimu.

His last point of call was the telecommunication giant, MTN, where he held sway as chief marketing officer sitting on an annual budget of two billion naira. After eight years of eventful service, he retired. Earlier, he had worked with the Nigerian Breweries.

    CONVENED to facilitate practical and direct knowledge exchange for young entrepreneurs, professionals, innovators and creatives, the organisers of The Future Awards have announced the date for its annual conference (previously titled The Do-Something Pre-Awards Conference).

    The renamed National Enterprise Conference, now in its fifth year, will hold on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at the main auditorium of the University of Lagos, Yaba.

    Themed ‘Our generation needs to get to work’, several of the speakers slated to appear at the event have been recognised by The Future Awards for their outstanding efforts in their respective fields. They include: 2face Idibia, Rita Dominic, Stephanie Okereke, Ohimai Atafo, Omawumi Megbele, Bridget Awosika, Kelechi Amadi-Obi, Steve Babaeko, Kola Oyeneyin, Lamide Adedeji, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Funke Bucknor, and Linda Ikeji. Ugochukwu Nwosu from Microsoft and Ayodeji Adewunmi from Jobberman will join the speakers.
