SOUND City presenter, Moet Abebe, has now found another passion: acting.
At the recently held media preview of Zik Zulu Okafor’s latest production, Oasis, Abebe, a popular VJ, relives her first experience as an actress.
According to her, “People do say that presenters naturally have this acting flair. But obviously, being a presenter, you always have to, in a sense, show whom you are. You have to be real because you have to shine. But when you are an actress, you have to be the part and you have to play the part. You have to be a different character, so it was awesome and a bit challenging. But it was a very interesting experience.”
When asked how challenging the role was, she said: “Tiwa, the girlfriend to a renowned cultist in the movie, was like her alter ego. “It wasn’t necessarily easy to be a bit of a tough. At the same time, it was different for me because I’ve never really had relationship issues like that. So, I kind of relate to the feistiness and the restiveness of the character.”
Abebe plays the role of Tiwa, the fiery girlfriend of renowned campus cultist, KK.
The sitcom stars the likes of Beverly Naya, Tope Tedela, Segun Arinze, Monalisa Chinda, David Nnaji, Ifeanyi Williams, Mary-Jane Ugbaja as well as Zik Zulu Okafor.
