    Schools shine at MSSN ‘Intellectual competitions’

    After an impressive display of intellectual prowess, and youthful enthusiasm, winners have emerged for the this year’s Lagos Intellectual Competitions (LIC) organized by the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Lagos State Area Unit.

    The event featured quiz competitions for junior secondary pupils, debates for senior secondary category, and essay writing for undergraduates.

    In the junior secondary school quiz competition, Royhana Ismail from Vetland Junior Grammar School emerged winner while Farhan Sodiq from Usoolol Iman and Abdul Rahman Olaloye from Taqwa School were runners-up.

    The debate competition for senior secondary students was won by the team from Badore Community Senior Secondary School, who impressed the judges with their well-reasoned arguments and eloquence. Taqwa High School and Linksbond College came 2nd and 3rd respectively. 

    Aminat Ayinde of Sanya Senior Grammar Grammar School won the prize for Best Speaker, while Azeemah Afolabi from Muhimat Memorial School emerged as the prize winner for 2nd Best Speaker.

    The undergraduate essay writing competition saw Shitta Romlah, Lagos State University (LASU) winning the 1st Prize; Ogundipe Nurudeen, University of Lagos (UNILAG) and Fathia Abolanle emerged runners-up.

    MSSN Lagos Amir (President), Kamoldeen Abiona, celebrated the winners of various categories for their exceptional performances

    Abiona hailed the organizing team and the participants.
