    Foundation organises novelty match, other events for Ifaki-Ekiti indigents

    A non-profit organisation, Muko Foundation has organised novelty match, health outreach and also distributed food items to residents of Ifaki-Ekiti in Ekiti state.

    The two-day event was a beehive of different activities and it brought a ray of hope to the host community.

    It opened with a football match between two communities in Ifaki-Ekiti. At the end of the novelty match, there was presentation of cash gifts and medals to the winners and other participants.

    The community’s monarch, Oba John Adegbenro Falore, Okufaki of Ifaki-Ekiti graced the football match and also witnessed the distribution of food items to 100 indigent women and children in the community. A former Governor, Engr Segun Oni was the special guest of honour.

    Also, the medical outreach was a beacon of health and wellness, offering a wide range of services that positively impacted the lives of community members.

    The program included screening and wellness checks, diagnosis, and treatment of medical conditions. During the health outreach, Dr. Olukorode Ojo sensitised residents on chronic medical conditions especially hypertension, diabetes, chronic kidney disease and others. Doctors and nurses who were at the outreach, conducted tests for over 200 patients.

    Chairman of Muko Foundation, Dr Tolulope Ogunmuko said: “The two-day charity event was a success. It was an avenue to bring youths together and to also sensitise residents of the community. We do hope to have subsequent programmes for people in Ekiti state. We were able to reach out to vulnerable persons.

    “We’ll be focusing on dental checks and cataract surgery, and cervical screening. We extend our gratitude to monarch and Engr Segun Oni for their support, which enabled us to provide outreach initiative to residents of the community. We also appreciate all members of the planning committee and our esteemed board of directors.”
