    NASCO Cornflakes, Nigeria’s indigenous whole flaked cornflakes cereal, has teamed up with organisers of Nnenna and Friends Children’s day show on the 10th edition of the annual party, billed for May 27, 2018 at the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos.

    Its Senior Brand Manager, Gbolahan Oyenuga, said the partnership is driven by a common goal which is to celebrate and inspire greatness in children.

    He said: “Just like Nnenna and Friends, NASCO Cornflakes share a strong and special bond with children and teenagers. Partnering on this year’s Children’s day offers the opportunity to connect with them in a fun-filled and relaxed environment whilst providing them with quality nutritional products that enriches them.”

    About the brand’s recent marketing efforts; the “Whole Flaked” campaign, Oyenuga explained that Nasco Cornflakes is full of whole nourishment as part of a balanced diet for the whole family.

     

    He further stressed that a single serving of Nasco Cornflakes provides at least 25 per cent of Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) of essential vitamins (vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B12, Folic acid) and mineral (Iron) that every family needed to start the day full of energy and for healthy growth. Further to these, there are No Additives, No preservatives and No Artificial flavours or colourings.

    While stressing on this, he further stated that the brand Nasco Cornflakes promises an exciting and unforgettable brand experience with the kids during the Children’s Day celebration through various brand engagement activities with lots of gifts and brand souvenirs to go home with. .     Peters further stated that as the social impact focus has become customary since it went mainstream, KekeAds would be impacting on the economies of the various locations in Jos, Onitsha, Aba and Owerri, as the selected operators of the ‘Kekes’ would earn more income for themselves when they are commissioned to carry the adverts which will help alleviate poverty. She said, “KekeAds, through its activities, will provide jobs in the states, as the branding will have to be produced and installed by; the youth, administrative workers and even the ‘Keke’ unions who monitor the campaigns on behalf of KekeAds, will all be paid.”

    NASCO gets Nutrition Society’s endorsement

    NASCO cornflakes has won the endorsement and official approval of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN). The Official Endorsement Certificate was presented to NASCO Group in Lagos last week during the opening ceremony of the 2015 Annual Conference of NSN.

    The Council also conferred on the Chairman/CEO of NASCO Group, Dr. Attia Nasreddin its prestigious Award of Excellence in recognition of his immense contributions towards advancing the cause of nutrition in Nigeria.

    According to the NSN, the endorsement of NASCO range of cornflakes is for a period of three years. Speaking during the conferment, the President, Nutrition Society of Nigeria Prof Ngozi Nnam, said NASCO Cornflakes cereal brand won the endorsement of the Society following the outcome of a professional and rigorous procedure under the NSN guidelines, and administered by the Scientific/Endorsement Committee of Nutrition Society of Nigeria.”

    The Lagos Marketing Manager of NASCO, James Iwunze thanked the Society for the diligence displayed by its Scientific Committee in arriving at the endorsement for NASCO Cornflakes.

    He assured that the nourishing quality of the brand will be sustained and improved upon continually.

    NASCO Cornflakes range is one of the flagship brands from the stable of Nasco Foods Limited (a subsidiary of NASCO Group). Nasco Cornflakes was launched in 1980 and remains till date the first indigenous Cornflakes brand in Nigeria.
