    Firm chief: I’ll support housing growth

    Group Managing Director of Nedcomoaks, in Lagos State, Kennedy Okonkwo, has vowed to support growth of housing development to address the country’s acute housing deficit and improve living conditions.

    The initiative includes a combination of financial investments, partnerships with local developers, and implementation of sustainable building practices.

    He spoke during Nedcomooaks’s 20th anniversary in Lagos.

    The commitment is a positive step toward alleviating Nigeria’s housing crisis, which affects a portion of the population.

    By combining resources, expertise, and community engagement, it aims to create impact on housing availability and quality.

    Okonkwo reflected on his journey from constructing a single bungalow in Oniru, Lagos, to delivering thousands of homes to.

    “Today marks a remarkable moment in my life and the life of this organisation. “Starting from a build-operate-transfer project in Oniru, we have grown into a trusted brand, shaping Nigeria’s real estate landscape. It is 20 years of being a property developer, and I am grateful to God for bringing us this far,” he said.

    He emphasised the need for a collective effort from developers, government, and stakeholders to tackle housing challenges.

    Okonkwo said: “The housing deficit is a shared problem: yours, mine and the government. At Nedcomoaks, we are making affordable housing accessible to Nigerians, ensuring dreams of homeownership come true for young men and women.”
