    Neo Phlames laments high cost of music promotion

    Adeniyi Babatunde Adewoyin aka Neo Phlames, has expressed his frustration over the exorbitant cost of music promotion in Nigeria.

    The artiste, who is currently promoting his debut EP titled ‘I Just Did It,’ voiced his concerns about the financial burden that music promotion places on independent musicians.

    “The cost of music promotion is really killing. It’s now a case of ‘Eni ori yo Odi’le (survival of the fittest).

    “A radio station charged me more than my salary,” said Neo Phlames.

    The artiste cum journalist bemoaned the lack of support for up-and-coming artistes, stating, “No sponsor, no helper but we keep going. I can only imagine how many talents are suffering the same fate right now. If it continues like this, I’m sorry y’all will continue listening to trash because a high percentage of raw talents don’t have the big bag.”

    He, however, thanked some fans and media personalities, who have supported him since the release of his five-track debut EP on May 10.

    Despite these obstacles, Neo Phlames remains determined to push forward, hoping for a change that will make it easier for talented artists to reach a wider audience.
