  • Kotex unveils new product

    Kimberly-Clark, makers of hygiene products, has launched its new range of sanitary pads and tampons into the Nigerian market.

    The event, held at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, was attended by dignitaries, celebrities and women.

    Head of Marketing, WECA, Mrs. Kemi Saliu  said in less than five years of Kotex presence in Nigeria, the company has established a leading position in providing women with quality, smooth feminine care. She attributed the success of the brand to the high and consistent quality of the product, the support of Kotex trade partners and the loyalty of its consumers.

    “Introducing the new range to our existing products in Nigeria is part of Kimberly-Clark’s mission to provide essentials for a better life for our consumers. Kotex pads and tampons have a superior, cotton-like feel that give women a comfortable experience,” she added.

    The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the New  Kotex Ultra Sanitary Pad and Tampons.

     

  • New product for fighting toilet diseases makes debut

    In the quest towards ensuring a cleaner, germ-free environment, Hypo, a brand in the bleach and inexpensive disinfectant market, has commemorated this year’s World Toilet Day with the unveiling of a new variant – Hypo Toilet Cleaner – to cater to  various economic social class.

    The event was graced by representatives from the Lagos State Ministry of Health, Ministry of Environment, Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), and celebrities from the movie industry.

    They  promised to enlighten the public on the need to keep the environment safe for the greater good of all. This year’s theme for the World Toilet Day, tagged “When nature calls,” was borne out of the need to proffer solutions to the global sanitation needs as it has been recognised that over 62.5 percent of people over the world do not have access to safe sanitation when it comes to answering nature’s call.

    Mrs. Wale Poluyi, Director (Pharmacy), Lagos State Drug Quality Control Laboratory, who represented the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, called for the need for Nigerians to understand that human waste, if not properly disposed, is capable of spreading germs. She urged people on the need to stay hygienic with toilets and environment.

    According to the Brand Manager of Hypo, Onome Asagbra, who made a presentation before the unveiling, “Nigeria has also been ranked among top three countries in the world for the number of people without toilets, according to a WaterAid’s State of the World’s Toilet report. It also states that fewer than three in 10 people have a decent toilet, which clearly shows there is a problem, which must be tackled”.

     

  • Ensure gets new product

    Ensure Insurance has designed products that will change the way insurance works for Nigerians, Executive Director, Owolabi Salami, has said.

    Owolabi, who spoke with The Nation said the firm is fast, responsive and flexible, and helps customers to get back on track when life takes unpredictable turns.

    The firm’s primary objective, he said, is to deliver innovative insurance products that work for every customer.

    He stressed that the firm settles all car insurance claims promptly and gives 15 per cent cashback on car insurance premiums if any customer makes no claims after 24 months.

    He said female drivers receive an additional 15 per cent discount on their car insurance policies while male premium car insurance plan members over 45 enjoy a 15 per cent discount.

    The firm also offers free towing of customer’s car, replacement car and dedicated personal car insurance claims relationship.

    GOtv launches new product

    GOTV has launched another package called “GOTV Max” with additional four channels which are super sport select 4 showing all LALIGA matches, Fox tv, CBS reality tv and Sony Max tv.

    The General Manager, MultiChoice Marketing and Sales, Mr. Martin Mabuto, said that the package will be charged at N3,800 and that GOTV is now in 56 cities in 24 states.

    Speaking at the launch he said that subscribers of GOTV plus will be upgraded to GOTV Max as GOTV is celebrating its sixth birthday as well as the independence of the country.

    According to him, active GOTV plus subscribers only need to search to access the channels, but if you are on GOTV value, upgrade to GOTV plus and you will be upgraded automatically to GOTV max.

    Speaking further he said on October 1, Gotv will be having its 12 edition of Gotv boxing at the Surulere Stadium.

    “We came up with Gotv MAX because without subscribers we are nothing that is why the decisions we make at the business is always based on the feedbacks we get.”

    General Manager, MultiChoice Limited, Mr. Akin Salu, said “This is a new package, it has never been initiated and this package will benefit lovers of sport and movies. Every Nigerian can subscribe for Gotv because it is cheap.”
