  • Nickfest Records Another Successful Family Fun-fair in Nigeria

    Nickfest, the 2-day family- fun entertainment event, held in Lagos has ended but not without the quest for more fun and happy time experience.

    The event which was organized by Nickelodeon in partnership with premium malt drink, Maltina took place on the 29th and 30th of September at the Balmoral Events Center, Federal Palace, Victoria Island, and was full of fun and so much happiness.

    The partnership played a part in delivering fun-filled experiences to families in consonance with Maltina’s commitment to ‘Share Happiness’ with various age groups. Following the success of the maiden edition in 2017, the 2-day event provided a very rare avenue for the brand to interact with its teeming consumers and fans.

      Commenting on the success of the event, Senior Brand Manager, Maltina, Omotunde Adenusi said; “This is indeed an exciting partnership for Maltina. We realize that we are all busy and more often than not, life just gets in the way, however creating family moments is paramount.”

    Children were able to reenact their fantasies as the event featured some of Nickelodeon’s superstar characters in brand new shows including Dora the Explorer along with her animal rescuer cousin, Diego and Dora’s best pal, Boots; SpongeBob Squarepants; Shimmer and Shine; and Paw Patrol’s – Ryder, Chase, Marshall, Rubble, and Sky. Also this year, Happy the Maltina mascot took centre stage at the Maltina Happy Land at NickFest, and for the first time ever he performed his very own show to the delight of kids and parents.

    Music lovers were not left out as leading artists in the industry including Mi Abaga, Simi, Mayorkun and Adekunle Gold thrilled and entertained families at the event with electrifying performances.

    Maltina lived up to its “Share happiness” mantra by putting smiles on the faces of some families at the Maltina Happy Land at Nickfest through exciting giveaways.

    The event hosted 4,000 families with everyone present having a wonderful experience. It is safe to say that they we ae all looking forward to the next edition of the biggest fun-filled family gathering event, NickFest.

  • Mayorkun, Falz, Simi & Adekunle Gold Live @ NickFest 2018

    Performing on the NickFest stage this year are A-list Nigerian musical acts such as Mayorkun, Falz, Simi and Adekunle Gold, the organisers have said.

    The Celebrity Slime Challenge will be the highlight of NickFest as popular personalities are slimed green in an effort to raise both awareness and funds for children support through NGO projects in Nigeria.

    Apart from creating an opportunity for attendees to give to a good cause, NickFest serves as an avenue for children to have fun with their favourite Nickelodeon characters and for adults to let loose and unleash their inner child.

    This year NickFest will welcome more than 4,000 children and families to the Federal Palace Hotel, transforming the venue into a bright orange Nickelodeon and Maltina fun fest.

    Following a successful ‘family-centric’ first year of Nickelodeon in partnership with Maltina, the 2018 edition has now been concluded for  a two-day entertainment filled second edition of NickFest in Nigeria

    This year, the entertainment packed event welcomes associate sponsors Indomie and DStv Nigeria who will be joining in on the fun by creating additional experience zones. TV personality, Ikponmwosa “IK” Osakioduwa returns as a host, joined by Nigeria’s Got Talent maiden edition winner, Amarachi as a co-host.

    Tickets are available at Afritickets for N5,000 each day for adults and children three-years and above, while kids under the age of two have free access to the Federal Palace on Saturday, 29 September and Sunday, 30 September.

    Families can anticipate performances by Nickelodeon’s superstar characters:  SpongeBob Square Pants; Adventure Bay’s intrepid pups, Skye, Rubble Marshall and Chase from Paw Patrol; the energetic Dora the Explorer with her animal rescuer cousin, Diego and her best pal, Boots. The genies who can solve any problem, Shimmer and Shine, are also part of the amazing character lineup and there will be surprise performances by some of Africa’s adored entertainers.

  • Nickelodeon’s Nickfest returns to Lagos

    MOST anticipated family festival, Nickelodeon NickFest is set for another edition in Lagos this September.

    The show, put together by Viacom International Media Networks Africa (VIMN Africa) in partnership with Maltina will take place in Lagos on September 29th and 30th.

    Organisers say NickFest 2018 will deliver a fun-filled experience for families promising to be a captivating experience for various age groups with unique family-friendly events. The weekend will feature Nickelodeon’s superstar characters in brand new shows: the world’s most popular, irreverent sea sponge, SpongeBob Square Pants; Adventure Bay’s intrepid pups, Skye, Rubble Marshall and Chase from Paw Patrol: the feisty and fun Dora the Explorer with her animal rescuer cousin, Diego and Dora’s best pal, Boots. Shimmer and Shine, the two genies who can solve any problem will join in the fun as part of the amazing character lineup. Kids and parents can look forward to lots of singing, dancing and pure laugh aloud fun as they are whisked away to their favorite Nickelodeon characters worlds.

    Kids and parents can also look forward to seeing the fun and friendly face of Maltina’s Happy character. This year Happy will be centre stage at the popular Maltina Happy Land at NickFest. For the first time, Happy will be performing his very own show which will surprise and delight kids and parents at Maltina Happy Land.

    The popular Slime Zone will have more gooey green slime and a number of slime activities for the Nickelodeon Slime fans. A major highlight of NickFest is The Celebrity Slime Challenge where popular personalities are slimed green in an effort to raise both awareness and funds for children support through NGO projects in Nigeria.

    Saturday and Sunday, last weekend would always remain green. Kids and their parents wished the day to come again because it was a two day of uncommon fun and family entertainment ever experienced.

    NICKFEST made its debut in Nigeria and over 4000 families with children could not miss the live experience.

    It was loads of fun and games courtesy of Nickelodeon, popular family entertainment TV network owned by Viacom International Media Networks Africa (VIMN Africa) in partnership with Maltina.

    There were so many to do to have fun and enjoy the two-day festival like held at Federal Palace, hotel on Lagos Island.

    Kids splashed around gooey slime in thousands of litres at the legendary Slime Zone. The venue was a beehive of amazing toys, play kids games, video control games, car race games, hide and seek games, table tennis, giant bouncing castle, castle football, castle basket, castle golf, and plenty colour pick games, notably in the Nickelodeon and Maltina traditional bright orange which helped achieved a vibrantly playful ambiance. watch video from popular kids shows, play free online games for kids, & more

    Top notch celebrities in the class of Yemi Alade, Mr. P (Paul of P-Square), Simi, Chioma Akpotha, Ill Blizz, Mr. Eazi, Samantha Walsh and Ehiz got slimed several times at the happy ambiance event.  over to raise awareness and funds for The North East Children’s Trust.

    The music stars entertained the attendees with their family-friendly songs setting the whole venue into a fun-filled sing-along stage.

    The festival also featured the popular Nickelodeon show characters, Shimmer & Shine, SpongeBob SquarePants, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles- Leo, Donnie, Raph and Mikey & Paw Patrol’s- Ryder, Chase, Marshall, Rubble, and Sky-, who dazzled both kids and parents with amazing performances.

    According to the Executive Vice President and Managing Director VIMN Africa, Alex Okosi, who shed light on the essence of the kids’ event said, “Nickelodeon has been great for kids & family in Africa as a brand since we launched in 2008.
