    NNL Super 8 to hold in Asaba July 5-12

    After a successful regular season the board of Nigeria National League ( NNL) has announced that the Super 8 will hold in Asaba, the Delta State Capital from July 5 – 8, 2025.

    Teams that qualified for the Super 8 are;  Warri Wolves, Osun United, Crown FC, Kun Khalifa FC of Owerri, Wikki Tourists, Yobe Desert Stars, Doma FC and Barau FC

    According to a statement by the second tier League, the Delta State Governor Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori in recognition of the progress made by the most important league in the country gave approval for the Super 8 that will produce the eventual winner of the league and the four teams to be promoted to the elite league to be played at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba

    “We are happy to announce that the sports loving Governor of Delta State Hon. Oborevwori has given approval for the hosting of NNL Super 8 in Asaba and we’re grateful for this kind gesture which will further cement the position of Delta State as a leading sporting state in the country.

    “By this gesture, we’re ready to have a successful completion of the 2024/2025 season and produce the best teams that will play in the top flight next season”, noted the statement

    Meanwhile, Chairman of NNL, George Aluo has assured football lovers that there’ll be no dull moment throughout the duration of the Super 8.According to him,fans will be treated to the best form of football artistry as all the eight qualified teams have what it takes to qualify for the NPFL next season just as he promised that the league board in collaboration with the host state will ensure that all logistics will be put on ground for a successful hosting of the tournament.

    NNL chairman  to grace Next Level Scouting Event

    Chairman of Nigeria National League ( NNL) will be the special guest of honour at  the forthcoming Next Level Scouting Event scheduled to take place in Abuja between March 20 and 25.

    Disclosing this, founder of the Next Level Scouting event ,Jouko Gorissen said the decision to invite the Chairman of the second tier League is for him to have a first-hand information of what they’re doing in helping to discover talents at the grassroots even as he stated that the presence of the NNL boss, would be an invaluable asset to their mission of nurturing and promoting football talent in the country.

    He noted that the event being organised in  partnership with USYAK Football Academy, Niger State, promises to be a remarkable gathering  of football talents.

    Gorissen further explained that Besides the scouting event,  there will also be a symposium where stakeholders from global  football family will be giving presentations about football, education and law for all people who are interested in the game.

    The Next Level Scouting event is a premier football scouting event designed to showcase the best talent from Nigeria. During the programme, young players  will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and passion for the game to scouts from around the world.

    The scouting programme  is a unique chance for  talented individuals to make their mark at  the global stage and pursue their dreams of a professional football career.

    NNL ‘s partnership with Sofascore excites Aluo

    As part of its efforts at further popularizing the second tier League as well as give it international recognition, the board of Nigeria National League ( NNL) has signed a partnership deal with leading sports platform, Sofascore.

    The deal will allow the company  to download NNL matches, players, results and statistics on its official website for their millions of users worldwide as well as in their soft care Editor app which allows local tournaments to be visible to Sofascore.

    According to the deal which was signed on behalf of the NNL by the Chief Executive Officer, Emmanuel Attah and Karto Levak on behalf of Sofascore, it makes the company the official technical partner of the football body.

    The deal also allows Sofascore to display it’s logo or their promotional materials such as flyers and banners as well as  include Sofascore logo in all official communications where the League partners are visible.

    The deal which both parties agree is to achieve mutual business and economic benefits will help in showcasing the league and its players to the outside world through the Sofascore app.

    Speaking on the landmark agreement, Chairman of NNL, George Aluo, described it as a welcome development noting that it will help to make the league more attractive as many people within and outside the shores of the country will have the opportunity of getting more information about the league on the official website of the partners.
