  • NiMet predicts cloudy skies, rainy activities on Friday

    The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy morning conditions over the Central states of the country on Friday with chances of localised thunderstorms over Abuja, Lokoja, Lafia and Markudi.

    NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Thursday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 25 to 35 and 18 to 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.

    It added that thunderstorms activities were expected over places like Jos, Jalingo, Kaduna, Bauchi and Mambilla Plateau later in the day.

    The agency predicted that the Southern states would experience cloudy morning with prospect of localised rains over Lagos and Ijebu-Ode with day and night temperatures of 30 to 34 and 21 to 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.

    It also predicted localised thunderstorms over Akure, Ibadan, Osogbo, Enugu, Awka, Owerri, Benin and the coastal cities during afternoon and evening hours.

    According to NiMet, Northern states will experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions during the forecast period with day and night temperatures in the ranges of 33 to 40 and 24 to 28 degrees Celsius, respectively.

    “Cloudy conditions with prospects of thunderstorms activities are anticipated over most parts of the country within the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicts.

    Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy morning conditions over the central states of the country on Wednesday, with chances of localised rain showers over Kaduna and Abuja.

    NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Monday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 25 to 33 and 18 to 25 degrees celsius.

    It added that places like Jos, Abuja, Mambilla plateau and Makurdi axis were expected to have localised thunderstorms later in the day.

    The agency predicted that the southern states would experience increased cloudiness over most parts with chances of rains over Port-Harcourt, Eket and Calabar axis during the morning hours.

    It also predicted prospects of isolated rains/showers over the inland cities like Oshogbo, Ado-ekiti, Enugu and Awka, including the coastal cities like Port-Harcourt, Yenagoa, Warri, and environs during the evening period.

    NiMet further predicted that southern cities would have day and night temperatures in the range of 30 to 34 and 21 to 24 degrees celsius.

    According to NiMet, northern states will experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions over most parts during the forecast period with day and night temperatures in the ranges of 33 to 39 and 21 to 28 degrees celsius.

    “There are chances of isolated thunderstorms over Maiduguri, Potiskum, Yola, Gombe and its environs during the afternoon and evening hours.

    “Increased cloudiness is anticipated over most parts of the country with prospects of isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon within the next 24 hours,” NiMet added.

    The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy morning conditions over the central states of the country on Tuesday, with chances of localised thunderstorms over Lafia, and Jos in the afternoon and evening hours.

    NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Monday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 25 to 37 and 17 to 25 degrees celsius.

    The agency predicted that the southern States would experience cloudy conditions over the Inland cities with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Owerri, Awka, Enugu, Umuahia, Eket and Ikom in the morning hours.

    It also predicted chances of isolated rains over Uyo, Calabar, Port-Harcourt, Eket and their environs in the morning with localised thunderstorm over the entire coastal cities in the afternoon and evening period.

    NiMet further predicted that the southern cities would have day and night temperatures in the range of 28 to 32 and 19 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively.

    According to NiMet, Northern States will experience cloudy conditions with chances of localised thunderstorms over Kano, Kaduna, Zaria and Dutse axis in the morning hours.

    “Localised thunderstorms are anticipated over Sokoto, Gusau, Gombe, Maiduguri, Katsina, Bauchi in the afternoon and evening hours with day and night temperatures in the ranges of 34 to 40 and 21 to 26 degrees Celsius respectively.

    “Cloudy conditions are expected over the north and central cities with prospect of localised thunderstorms over few places and the southern cities in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicts.

    The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions over the central states of the country on Saturday.

    NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Friday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 33 to 41 and 19 to 29 degrees Celsius respectively.

    The agency predicted that the southern states would experience cloudy morning over the inland and coastal cities with day and night temperatures in the range of 30 to 36 and 22 to 26 degrees Celsius.

    It also predicted localised thunderstorm over Owerri, Akure, Ibadan, Oshogbo, Ikom, Asaba, Ogoja, Calabar, Warri, Eket, Yenegoa and Portharcourt in the afternoon and evening hours.

    According to NiMet, Northern states will experience partly cloudy to sunny conditions throughout the forecast period with day and night temperatures in the ranges of 38 to 42 and 20 to 27 degrees Celsius.

    “Localised thunderstorm over some parts of the southern region of the country are not unlikely and stability over some parts of the northern states in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted.

    NiMet predicts sunny, cloudy weather for Tuesday

    The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted sunny and hazy weather conditions over Central States of the country on Tuesday with partly cloudy conditions over Lokoja, Makurdi and Ilorin.

    NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office (CFO), on Monday in Abuja, also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 29 degrees Celsius to 36 degrees Celsius and 13 to 22 degrees Celsius.

    The agency predicted that Southern States would experience cloudiness over the inland throughout the day with cloudy conditions over the coastal cities in the morning hours.

    It also predicted localised thunderstorms over Yenogoa, Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Warri and Benin in the afternoon and evening period with day and night temperatures in the range of 32 degrees Celsius to 36 and 21 to 25 degrees Celsius.

    According to NiMet, Northern States will experience sunny and hazy conditions throughout the forecast period with day and night temperatures in the range of 34 degrees Celsius to 38 and 15 to 20 degrees Celsius, respectively.

    “Sunny and hazy conditions are most likely over the north, down to the central cities, while isolated thunderstorms are expected over some parts of the coastal cities within the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted.

    The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted morning thunderstorms cloudy weather conditions over the Central states of Jos, Mambila plateau and Jalingo on Wednesday.

    NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office on Tuesday in Abuja also predicted thunderstorms over most parts of the region during the afternoon and evening hours.

    It added that the region would have day and night temperatures in the range of 24 degrees Celsius to 33 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius to 24 degrees Celsius, respectively.

    The agency predicted that the southern states would experience morning cloudy conditions over the inland cities with likelihood of rains in the afternoon and evening.

    It also predicted rains over the coastal areas during the forecast period with day and night temperatures of 29 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees Celsius and 22 degrees Celsius to 24 degrees Celsius, respectively.

    According to NiMet, northern states will experience localised thunderstorms over the extreme north of Maiduguri, Damaturu and Yelwa axis in the morning with partly cloudy conditions during afternoon and evening hours.

    “The Northern states will have day and night temperatures of 29 degrees Celsius to 37 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius to 25 degrees Celsius, respectively.

    “There is a build-up of clouds and this is expected to increase chances of weather activities over most parts of the country in the next 24 hours,’’ the agency predicted.

    NiMet predicts dust haze, partly cloudy weather on Friday

    The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted dust haze weather conditions over the central states of the country, especially Abuja, Zaria, Jos, Bida, Minna and Lafia on Friday.

    NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Thursday stated
    that the region would have visibility values within the range of two to five kilometers and less than 1000m.

    It added that the region would have day and night temperatures of 28 to 34 degrees Celsius and 14 to 19 degrees Celsius respectively.

    The agency predicted that the southern states would experience partly cloudy conditions, with chances of localised thunderstorms over Akure, Oshogbo and Lagos in the morning hours.

    It also predicted day and night temperatures of 33 to 35 and 23 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively over the southern states during the forecast period.

    According to NiMet, northern states will experience thick dust haze with visibility values less than 1000m over Maiduguri, Potiskum, Kano, Nguru, Katsina, Gusau and Sokoto.

    It added that “the region will have day and night temperatures of 28 to 31 and 11 to 19 degrees Celsius respectively.

    “Visibility values are still expected to deteriorate over the North and central cities as a result of dust freshly raised from the Source region, while the visibility values in most of the areas will be less than 1000m.”

    The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy weather conditions over the central states of the country on Saturday.

    The NiMet’s Weather Outlook issued by its Central Forecast Office (CFO) on Friday in Abuja, predicted chances of early morning isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Jos, Jalingo, Markurdi, Mambilla and its environs.

    It added localized thunderstorms would prevail over the high ground areas of Abuja in the afternoon and evening hours with maximum temperatures of 27 to 33 degrees Celsius.

    The agency also predicted that the southern states would experience increased cloudiness in the morning with probability of localised rains over Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar and Enugu.

    It also predicted localized thunderstorms/rain showers over Delta, Bayelsa and Lagos, Benin, Akure, Ibadan, Owerri and Awka during the afternoon and evening hours with maximum temperatures of 28 to 32 degrees Celsius.

    NiMet predicted cloudy to partly cloudy conditions over the northern states in the morning with thundery activities later in the day and maximum temperatures of 32 to 37 degrees Celsius.

    According to the prediction, rainfall activities are expected to occur over some parts of the country with varying intensities in the next 24 hours.
