Nina Ivy: How a doctor said my son wouldn’t be able to walk

Reality TV star Nina Ivy has cautioned against blindly trusting medical professionals.

She recounted a doctor’s claim that her son, Denzel, born premature, would not walk and required therapy.

According to Nina, she rejected the diagnosis, confidently stating that her son will walk at the right time.

Defying the prognosis, Nina said Denzel began walking before his first birthday.

Nina emphasised the importance of parental intuition, warning that some doctors prioritise profit over patients’ well-being, prescribing medications that may lead to further complications.

She urged followers to “stay woke,” trust their instincts, conduct personal research, and recognise that not every situation requires a doctor’s intervention.

“I always tell people this, don’t blindly believe everything Doctors say about your health. At the end of the day, many of them care about the money than your actual well-being, bot physically and mentally. I remember a Doctor once told me that my son, Denzel wouldn’t be able to walk because he was born premature.

“He recommended therapy sessions but I looked him straight in the face and said “my son will walk when it is time just like every normal child, around age one”.

“I rejected the diagnosis on the spot. Now guess what? Denzel started walking even before he turned one. Don’t let fear or titles doubt your faith of instincts as a parent. A lot of doctors put you on medication that only leads to more complications, keeping you in a cycle of sickness and right back in their offices while funding their luxury lifestyles. Stay woke, not every situation requires a doctor. Trust your instincts and do your own research too”.

“Losses can happen whether you choose to have kids in your 20s or 50s but I believe it’s important to focus on the beautiful and positive aspects of life rather than dwelling on the negatives. Just as some may face challenges with early parenthood, others may encounter them even if they have children later. Let’s try to see the bright side and appreciate the good things we have. Everyone’s experience is different and that’s okay”, she wrote.

Nina also reiterated that her perspective is based on her own experiences and observations, and she respects differing opinions.

“I believe that having kids in your 20s can be the best option because it often allows you to have more energy and time to raise your children, while also giving you more years later in life to pursue other goals once they are grown. I also think it can be beneficial for building a strong, long-lasting relationship with your children as you grow together. Example “Omoni Oboli”.

“This is my perspective based on my own experiences and observations. I understand that everyone’s situation is different, and it’s completely okay if you don’t agree with me.

“You can’t shove your opinion on my throat the same way I’m not shoving mine on yours. PS: You don’t have to agree with me either and that’s okay”, she added.
