    NASCO Cornflakes, Nigeria’s indigenous whole flaked cornflakes cereal, has teamed up with organisers of Nnenna and Friends Children’s day show on the 10th edition of the annual party, billed for May 27, 2018 at the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos.

    Its Senior Brand Manager, Gbolahan Oyenuga, said the partnership is driven by a common goal which is to celebrate and inspire greatness in children.

    He said: “Just like Nnenna and Friends, NASCO Cornflakes share a strong and special bond with children and teenagers. Partnering on this year’s Children’s day offers the opportunity to connect with them in a fun-filled and relaxed environment whilst providing them with quality nutritional products that enriches them.”

    About the brand’s recent marketing efforts; the “Whole Flaked” campaign, Oyenuga explained that Nasco Cornflakes is full of whole nourishment as part of a balanced diet for the whole family.

     

    He further stressed that a single serving of Nasco Cornflakes provides at least 25 per cent of Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) of essential vitamins (vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B12, Folic acid) and mineral (Iron) that every family needed to start the day full of energy and for healthy growth. Further to these, there are No Additives, No preservatives and No Artificial flavours or colourings.

    While stressing on this, he further stated that the brand Nasco Cornflakes promises an exciting and unforgettable brand experience with the kids during the Children’s Day celebration through various brand engagement activities with lots of gifts and brand souvenirs to go home with. . His words, “It’s definitely going to be whole fun for the children, their parents and guardian while being optimistic that bonds formed with the children will drive them to be the next generation of Nasco Cornflakes brand ambassadors.”

    For her part, highlighting the activities lined up to mark this year’s event, the host of the show, Olayinka Ademo (Nnenna) assured an unforgettable experience for attendees. “It’s definitely going to be fun all the way for the children and their parents.     The much-anticipated Nnenna and Friends end of year show is set to take place on Sunday, December 20 at the MUSON Centre, Lagos with a host of entertainers billed to thrill the whole family.

    Some of the musicians expected to perform at the event which holds between 3pm and 6pm include 9ice, Adewale, Oshadipe Twins, Korede Sax, Dizzy Mbata, Bryno T and N-Stars while the comedians are Chigul, Mc Prince, Jim Boi and Bukunmi Preacher. Also, Papa Ajasco & Company will entertain guests with drama, Explicit and N-Stars with dance and Dayo Israel will give a motivational talk.

    This is addition to other fun events such as family games, dance competitions, face painting and distribution of goodie bags.  Admittance to the event is free.

    According to the organisers, Wale Adenuga Productions (WAP), the event is to celebrate the end of 2015 and also usher in 2016.

    Face of children variety show, ‘Nnenna and Friends’ Yinka Olukunga, has attracted the patronage of other brands, including Etisalat, with which she is in talks on developing an application for the programme.

    Through a symbiotic relationship, Nnenna, as she is fondly called, is spreading her tentacles from the usual Live Shows and TV programmes, to partnering with top brands that are equally concerned with the welfare of youths and children.

    The model, actress, and singer currently anchors the ‘Nnenna and Friends Brain Power Game’, an educative TV programme and platform that gives the children room for improved learning, airing every Monday on AIT Network and Tuesday on wapTV channel 116 on Startimes.

    Hosting events like the ‘Bobo Kids with Voices’ organized by Bobo Food and Beverages, and the L’Oreal Dark and Lovely ‘Mum and I’ Beauty Pageant, where she performed alongside Desmond, a 12-year-old comedian from the Nnenna and Friends group of young stars, Nnenna appears to be feathering the success story of Wale Adenuga Productions, as a family-centric company.

    KOOKOOROOKOO Morning Show, a breakfast TV show on the indigenous Cable TV Channel, wapTV, has expanded its presentations.

    Already, the programme, which is presented by Douglas, Veronica, Omonla and Mazi Ukpaka, reviews the daily newspapers, interviews guests, interacts with viewers via phone calls and social media, discusses a wide range of topics, presents a weather report and conducts a vox pop segment.

    However, producers of the show have now revealed a bouquet of new features. wapTV has also introduced additional entertaining skits and segments.

    According to the producers, the comedic skits and segments in wapTV’s Kookoorookoo Morning Show include Akpan and Oduma, People’s Court, Okafor, The Gate, Cartoon of the Day, Bingo, Joke of the Day, Omonla, Horoscope, Papa Ajasco & Company Skit, Humourous Quotes, Nnenna & Friends Skit, Magana Magana, Weather Forecast and LOL.
