    NSIA Insurance has celebrated its 30th anniversary, describing it as three decades of resilience, customer-focused service, and industry excellence.

    At a press conference and dinner in Lagos to mark the event, NSIA Insurance Chairman, Dr. Adesegun Akin-Olugbade, acknowledged the company’s growth and impact.

    He said: “Over the past three decades, NSIA Insurance has built a reputation for financial strength, service excellence, and an unwavering commitment to policyholders. With a strong presence in Nigeria and West Africa, the company has continually evolved to meet the changing needs of customers while driving innovation in the insurance sector.

    “This milestone is a testament to the dedication of our employees, the trust of our clients, and the support of our partners. NSIA Insurance has stood the test of time, and we remain committed to delivering on our promise of protection and peace of mind.”

    The company’s Managing Director, Moruf Apampa, also presented key highlights of NSIA Insurance, emphasising customer satisfaction, technological advancements, and the company’s strategic direction.

    NSIA Insurance celebrates men’s contributions to society

    NSIA Insurance Limited as part of events to mark the International Men’s Day 2023, held a special outreach initiative titled “Heroes without Capes.” which aimed to express gratitude and care to male artisans, traffic wardens and LAWMA workers, recognising their invaluable contributions to society.

    On the bright and early morning of November 23, NSIA Insurance staff gathered on Victoria Island to celebrate, honour and give back to these everyday heroes without capes. The theme for this year’s celebration focused on appreciating the unsung male contributors to various fields.

    The company in a statement stated that celebration extended throughout the week, featuring a series of engaging activities for staff members.

    The activities included Appreciation Corner, a designated space where female colleagues left heartfelt notes expressing their appreciation for the male staff, acknowledging their dedication and hard work.

    The statement read: “It was filled with free prostate cancer checks. As part of their commitment to health and well-being, NSIA Insurance provided free prostate cancer checks, emphasising the importance of early detection and preventive healthcare for men.

    “There was also let’s talk: A safe and supportive space created to encourage men to open up about their challenges, triumphs, and experiences. The initiative aimed to foster a sense of camaraderie among like-minded individuals, emphasising the power of shared stories.

    Odogwu Friday was also in display, as a specialised man cave set up as a space for men to unwind, relax, and enjoy camaraderie with their colleagues, recognising the need for a designated area to promote a healthy work-life balance”, it stated.

  • NSIA Insurance kicks off campaign

    NSIA Insurance Limited has launched a campaign to further deepen insurance penetration.

    Tagged: No Worries, the campaign was unveiled at a briefing  in Lagos.

    Its Managing Director, Mrs. Ebelechukwu Nwachukwu, said the campaign was expected to sensitise customers and other Nigerians on the benefit of insurance.

    She said the company places high value on integrity and professionalism, which is why the prompt payment of claims is a part of their commitment to customers.

    As a proof to their claims settlement ability, she said over N679 million was made in 2017 and N2.4 billion in claims settlement to their clients last year.

    She stated that the prompt claims payment was in keeping with the commitment to render stellar customer service to clients and in line with their  objectives to pay genuine claims within 48 hours, following the receipt of the signed discharge voucher.

    She said: “We are putting ourselves out there to remind our customers of our commitment to serving them well. We bear in mind their needs and provide tailor-made solutions to suit them.

    ‘’We are known as “The true face of Insurance” because we understand and respond to all aspects of the insurance business. In recent times, NSIA Insurance, in a bid to diversify business, partnered Multichoice on the DSTV Thanks Programme, to reward loyal DSTV subscribers with 10 per cent discount on four identified products which include NSIA Comprehensive Motor Insurance, NSIA Motor Insurance – Third Party Fire & Theft, NSIA Householder Insurance and NSIA Personal Accident Cover.’’

    She continued; “NSIA Insurance also recently announced the successful completion of their 2019 ISO Surveillance Audit by the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), after they were awarded the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification in May 2018. This certification was achieved due to the successful implementation of the Quality Management System and priority for customer satisfaction. Next was the announcement of their Travel Insurance product with three main legs: the medical services package, which covers medical expenses for sickness and injuries, emergency medical evacuation and repatriation, repatriation of mortal remains to the home country, convalescence expense and dental treatment due to accident.

    “The Travel Assistance package, which covers terrorism, catastrophe, loss of passport, travel documents and luggage as well as trip cancellation and legal fees.

    “The company prides itself as a provider of a unique Health Insurance policy, which is provided in partnership with Hollard, one of South Africa’s largest independent insurance companies, and Cigna, one of the world’s leading providers of health benefits.”

  • NSIA Insurance announces ISO 9001:2015 recertification

    NSIA Insurance has announced the successful completion of its 2019 ISO Surveillance Audit by the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON).

    Head of Internal Audit and Quality Coordinator at NSIA Insurance, Udo Okeke in her statement to reporters, said this year’s surveillance audit was conducted in the month of May across five of the 10 NSIA Insurance locations within the country.

    According to her, due to the consistency in compliance to the ISO Standards and the excellent quality of service provided to clients in the locations visited, the company and all its branches were recommended for continued certification.

    She stated that the company was awarded the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification in May 2018.

    She said: “This certification was achieved due to the successful implementation of the Quality Management System and priority for customer satisfaction. This has ensured that all processes within the organisation are standardised to meet best practices.

    “It is worthy to note that this certification aligns with NSIA Insurance’s drive for excellence.  This is an exciting milestone for us as it speaks to one of our core values – Professionalism. We are optimistic that this recertification will improve client satisfaction and perception of our business by stakeholders”.
