Rivers United skipper, Nyima Nwagua, is thrilled to have scored his first career hattrick in a game but was excited the Pride of Rivers won and are in victory mood ahead of their weekend CAF Confederation Cup Matchday Five in Angola.
The Pride of Rivers returned to winning ways on Sunday after they pipped Doma United 3-2. It was their first win in three games and Nwagua told our correspondent that they had to fight to win the game because they were eager to be in victory mood ahead of their weekend’s must win encounter with Académica do Lobito of Angola.
“I feel very good about having the first hat trick of my career. It is the start of good things to come, Nwagua told NationSport.

“But the most important thing is that we won. It is the beginning of the second stanza and we’ve been struggling to win in the past two games.
“Getting these three points is very important for me and the team, the team is more important than personal glory. We have a CAF Confederation Cup game in Angola this weekend and it was important we won the game.”
