Aragbiji of Iragbiji, in Osun State, Oba Abdur-Rasheed Odundun IV, will, on Friday, confer awards of excellence in Community Service on indigenes.
Those slated for recognition are Executive Director (Operations) of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Taiye Adeyemi; Provost of Pathfinder College of Health Technology, Iragbiji, Bisi Olaboopo; Artist and Dramatist, Muraina Oyelami; and Adedoyin Idowu.
A statement by Head of Media, Publicity and Ceremony Sub-committee, Jimoh Olorede, and signed by Chair of Iragbiji Honours and Awards Central Committee, Abdul-Wahab Adewoyin, said the ceremony marks the achievements of some indigenes.

As the monarch, Oba Olabomi, is set to host Iragbiji Day on Saturday, four professors; Adebayo Badmos, from UAE, Adeniyi Adeyemi, from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and Yidiat Aderinto and Tajudeen Ajiboye, both from University of Ilorin, will receive “Distinguished Scholar Awards”.
Also to be honoured is Fortunate Bakery Group’s Chief Executive, Alhaji Adejumo, with “Business Leader of Excellence”.
Chief Executive of Sefrel Technologies, Abuja, Ridwan Akinola, will receive “Emerging Entrepreneur Award”.
Receiving honours from the monarch are two female graduates; Mariam Ohunmakin (Overall Best Graduating Student) at University of Osun, and Khadijat Adebayo (Best Student) in Faculty of Pharmacy at University of Lagos, will receive “Academic Top Performer Awards”.
