A member representing Mushin Federal Constituency II, Hon. Oluwatoyin Moses Fayinka, has extolled the life and times of Late Oba Mufutau Olatunji Hamzat, the Olu of Afowowa in Ogun state.
At the annual Ramadan Lecture/Iftar and Special Prayer in remembrance of the Late Oba, Hon. Fayinka described him as a father and elder statesman who mentored a generation of people in different fields of human endeavours until his death.
According to him, the late Oba Hamzat gave him the platform to reach his goal and mentored him to be who and what he is today.
“Late Oba Hamzat was indeed a committed man of faith,” Hon. Fayinka added.
In his remarks, Deputy Governor of Lagos state, Obafemi Hamzat applauded Hon. Fayinka for his consistency in hosting the annual Iftar/Ramadan lecture in remembrance of his father.

The deputy governor, while speaking on the moments he shared with his late father, said “he impacted positively on many lives till his death.”
He added that the late Oba Hamzat was at the forefront of progressive politics in Nigeria and Lagos in particular.
In his closing remarks, Hamzat urged the citizens to use this holy month of Ramadan to pray for President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other elected leaders to lead the country in the right direction.
