Elerinmo of Erinmo in Osun State, Oba Odunayo Ajayi (Arowotawaya 11) has been appointed into the Governing Council of Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution Development and Conflict Management of Nigeria (I-ADRN).
At the council’s inauguration in Lagos, Ajayi, a cultural expert, was inaugurated with serving and retired judges, legal icons, and other Nigerians.
The monarch, who had participated in community conflict disputes and cultural matters, would bring in his experience in adjudication of disputes and resolutions, with regard to traditional matters.
Oba Elerinmo, also a member of African Consortium for Law and Religion Studies (ACLARS), whose contributions initiated and fostered cultural exchange and cooperation, is an advocate for peaceful coexistence among African nations.
The Osun monarch was at ACLARS conference in Victoria falls, Southen Africa, and delivered a lecture on Law, Religion, and Role of Traditional Leaders in the Struggle for Human Dignity in Pre-Colonial and Colonial Africa.

He called for renewed human dignity and social reckoning in government, traditional and religious leaders, saying emphasis should be given to rulers role in adjudicating social and human dignity.
I-ADRN, under leadership of Prof Akin Ibidapi-Obe (president and chair); Mrs. Chinyere Onuorah (registrar); and chief executive officer; and John Oloyede (legal adviser), is established for resolution of disputes, from commercial, industrial, corporate and community transactions.
The institute promotes awareness and understanding of ADR mechanisms and conflict management in businesses, organisations, and the wider community, fostering a culture of resolution and cooperation.
It also undertakes research and development initiatives at enhancing effectiveness and accessibility of dispute resolution and confict management, including exploration of innovative technologies and methodologies.
Members are Hameed Oyenuga, director of Civil Litigation at Lagos State Ministry of Justice; Justice Wasiu Animasun; Justice Tajudeen Okunsokun; Justice Adegoje Lateef; Justice Sherifah Solebo (rtd); Justice Olugboyega Ogunfowora; Sylvester Adaka, former chair of Port Harcourt NBA; and Olufunke Osisanya.
Others include King B. Dakolo, chair of Bayelsa Traditional rulers Council; Khadi Kani, of Kano Sharia Court of Appeal; Dr. Nasiru Tijani, chief imam of Kano Railway Mosque; Prof. Kamal Dawul, of University of Maiduguri; Dr. Sam Nwatu, former Law Faculty Dean at University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
