The Ebonyi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has nominated the party’s Zonal Youth Leader, Chidiebere Egwu, to replace the expelled erstwhile Southeast National Vice Chairman of the party, Mr. Ali Odefa.
The party stated this in a letter it addressed to the Acting National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Illiya Damagun, and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), Senator Adolphus Wabara. It hinged the nomination of Mr. Egwu on the expulsion of Odefa for a plethora of anti-party activities.
A Federal High Court sitting in Abakaliki, the state capital, had upheld the initial suspension of Odefa by the executives of Oguduokwor Ward in Onicha Local Government Area of the party.
After hearing the allegations leveled against Odefa, the Oguduokwor Ward Disciplinary Committee recommended the expulsion of the former zonal chairman of the party.
