Italian Serie B side, Crotone, are on the verge of announcing the capture of Nnamdi Oduamadi from AC Milan.

Milan based sports daily, La Gazzetta Dello Sport, writes on its print edition that an agreement has been reached with their Serie A counterparts, with the Calabria based team set to unveil the winger in a matter of days if not hours.

”We are awaiting the signature, but I think it is now done. Know the player well having faced him several times as an opponent,” manager Massimo Drago told the newspaper.

Oduamadi’s non-inclusion in Nigeria’s World Cup roster did not do any damage to his rating, having distinguished himself in the second half of last season for Varese, scoring four goals in 12 games.

Earlier reports had suggested that the 23-year-old was wanted by Nantes, but it appears that he has slipped out of their hands as Crotone are now nailed on favourites to land his signature.

A product of Pepsi Football Academy, Nnamdi Oduamadi has been on the books of AC Milan since 2010.

“Honestly, I have not heard from anyone (in Milan), because they are going through a difficult period in terms of results.

“I just have to think about doing well during training for me win to win a shirt. It is still early to talk about the market.
