    You’re a generational award, Odumeje tells Davido after Grammy loss

    Popular Anambra-based cleric, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as Odumeje, has encouraged Davido to focus on his music and not let the recent Grammy Award loss get him down.

    He described Davido as a great musician and emphasised that his life and achievements are already an award, saying, “Your life is an award. Your step is an award.”

    He said, “There is one of our brothers that I love so much. That is a very great musician, and that is Davido. You are already a generational award, awarded a lot of awards.”

    “There is no award that you will receive now that means anything. You have already been awarded any award you need. Your life is an award. Your step is an award,” he added.

    Odumeje urged Davido not to let anyone demoralise him, adding that he’s already on top of the world and should keep inspiring his fans with new music.

    He also reminded Davido that he’s already received generational awards and that no other award can add to his legacy.

    Odumeje said, “Don’t allow ordinary somebody to come and begin to use it to quench the fire of your joy. So go out and get more inspiration to shock the world with another new song. Don’t go where you are not accepted.

    “Be careful. You are already on top of the world. The world is the one that will come into you. Don’t allow people to demoralise you, demoralise your quality, and decentralise you, and make you weak.”

    Davido had been nominated for the Best African Music Performance category at the 2026 Grammy Awards but lost to South African singer Tyla.

    Despite the loss, Davido’s fans and supporters, including his wife Chioma, have rallied behind him, praising his talent and impact on the music industry.

    Controversial cleric, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere popularly known as Odumeje, has announced the intention to run for president, emphasising the need for a young, digital leader to drive the country forward.

    Odumeje, in a video, expressed the desire to bring modern development and a digital way of life to Nigeria, even promising to construct a main road called Citadel.

    Odumeje said: “We need a young leader in this country, and I think I am coming out. We need a young leader as a president, a digital leader, not old cargoes. I think I will come out, I will come out for president.

    “Are you ready for me? Odumeje for president? Are you ready for me? Because I know what you need. I know what you want.

    Odumeje’s declaration has sparked mixed reactions online with some people dismissing it as a publicity stunt, while others see it as a bold move in

    But he hasn’t disclosed which political party he plans to represent.

    Odumeje’s announcement comes ahead of the 2027 presidential elections.

    During a recent church service, Odumeje stated that he and TB Joshua were the only two individuals with exceptional spiritual strength.

    With TB Joshua’s death, Odumeje believes he now holds the title.

    “Nobody can see my corpse. I don’t have much time to spend here. Our mission is to clear your doubt about Jesus Christ. And it’s one mission and one God and one power and that man is Jesus Christ.”

    Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, known as Odumeje, has allegedly TikTok blocked his account due to his “dangerous miracles”.

    In a viral video, Odumeje told his congregation that TikTok deemed his supernatural acts too intense for the platform, stating that his miracles are “beyond” what they can handle.

    Odumeje claimed that other social media platforms, including Facebook, are also rejecting his content.

    He emphasised that TikTok disconnected him specifically because of the magnitude of his miracles.

    “Even Facebook and other social media platforms are rejecting my dangerous miracles.

    “They are not accepting it. Because of my dangerous miracles, TikTok rejected me. They disconnected me. They said this miracle is beyond them,” he said in a now video.

    TikTok’s community guidelines prohibit harmful, illegal, or misleading content.

    Actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has defended the controversial pastor and General Overseer of The Mountain of Holy Ghost, Prophet Odumeje.

    In the latest episode of Scoop with Uriel on Pulse Nigeria, she stated that the fact that the clergyman can’t speak English fluently doesn’t undermine that he is a true man of God.  

    Recalling her encounter with him, she said: “The first time I had an encounter with Odumeje I was shocked to my bone marrow. The man will tell you everything about your life. He’s not just telling you, he’s giving you the solution”

    “Odumeje is a true man of God. I’m saying it here categorically. The fact that he can’t speak good English doesn’t make him a fake man of God”.
