- Female companion missing
From Ernest Nwokolo, Abeokuta
A man has been found dead inside Super G Royal Hotel, located at 11 Anthony Uzum Estate, Oyeyemi Akute, Ogun State.
The man, it was learnt, arrived at the hotel around 1:00 am on Saturday in the company of a lady whose name has not been ascertained yet. His lifeless body was discovered in the hotel room on Sunday by a female worker identified as Deborah Ogunjobi, but the man’s companion is missing or probably on the run.
A police camouflage uniform with Inspector rank and name tag bearing Haruna Mohammed was found in his bag.

The Nation learnt that the female hotel worker believed to be the manager and who discovered the tragic incident had been taken to the Ajunwon Police Division by detectives for interrogation while the remains of Mohammed had been evacuated and deposited at Life Channel Mortuary Olambe, an Ogun border community with Lagos State.
The spokesperson of the Ogun Command of the Nigeria Police, Chief Superintendent of Police, Omolola Odutola, who confirmed the incident said the man’s companion had not been found.
Odutola said there was no trace of violence on the man’s body, adding that though a police camouflage found in his bag reads Mohammed and ranks as an Inspector, one couldn’t conclude with certainty that the deceased was a police officer.
