One of Nollywood’s emerging forces Ojo Emmanuel Ayodele aka Ojay Makanaki, has expressed his commitment to changing the landscape through his YouTube channel, RCSMTV.
When asked about his inspiration for filmmaking, Ojay credited Kayode Adebayo (Kay Alubarika), who recognised his hidden talents and ignited his passion for acting.
Discussing the business side of film, he emphasised the need for more investment in Nollywood while acknowledging the potential and lucrative arm of the film business.
Ojay revealed his vision for Nollywood through his platform, aiming to treat all actors equally, whether upcoming or established. He stressed the importance of fair compensation for everyone involved in a movie production.

Explaining the rationale behind RCSMTV, Ojay described it as an innovation from a businessman’s mindset. He expressed the desire to expand the brand, produce quality movies, and feature outstanding content from various actors on the channel.
On the challenges posed by piracy, Ojay acknowledged its complexity, saying strategies such as watermarking movies and restricting circulation within the movie’s editing and marketing spheres will mitigate the issue.
Ojay disclosed his aspirations to collaborate with prominent filmmakers, including Funke Akindele, Odun Adekola, Toyin Abraham, and RMD, expressing a desire for more substantial roles with Femi Adebayo.
In 2012, Ojay joined Nollywood, spending years in the industry before landing his first role in “Ojo Ola” by Arewa Southy in 2022.
Subsequently, he featured in multiple films, including ‘Married but Single’ and ‘My Cross,’ all under the tutorship of his friend, mentor, and director, Kayode Adebayo.
