President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Oladimeji Bankole, and his family on the loss of his mother, Alhaja Monsurat Atinuke Bankole.
Alhaja Bankole, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 78 after a brief illness, was the Iya Adinni of Egbaland and a revered figure in her community.
Her life was marked by dedication to community development and a steadfast commitment to her Islamic faith.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu joined the Bankole family and the people of Ogun State in mourning her demise.
The President paid tribute to Alhaja Bankole’s legacy, describing her as a woman of compassion, generosity, and humility who left an indelible impact on countless lives.
“President Tinubu hopes that Mama’s legacy will continue in the countless lives she touched through her compassion, generosity, and humility,” the statement read.
The President offered prayers for the peaceful repose of her soul and asked Almighty Allah to grant comfort to the Bankole family and all others grieving her loss.
