I had five cesarean sections – Olaide Oyedeji opens up about daughter’s death

Popular Nollywood actress, Olaide Oyedeji has narrated the heartbreaking story of losing her first daughter, Sudan, to health challenges.

Speaking with co-actress, Biola Adebayo, Oyedeji discussed the difficulties she encountered, including undergoing five cesarean sections for the births of her five children.

However, the most poignant moment of the interview was Olaide’s revelation about the untimely death of her daughter Sudan.

The actress disclosed that Sudan, despite a short life, played a significant role in making her life in Germany easier.

She acknowledged the immense support and comfort Sudan provided, presenting her with documents that facilitated her stay in the country.

The actress seemed unfazed by initial criticism following Sudan’s death but became visibly moved when popular blogger Gistlover suggested that the tragedy resulted from Olaide and her baby daddy’s alleged heavy drug use.

She vehemently denied the allegations, describing the intense medical journey Sudan underwent, revealing that her daughter had multiple surgeries, including having two shunts in her head.

Olaide also described how Sudan required a feeding tube, and she expressed the profound pain of witnessing her daughter’s suffering.

She said: “My first daughter, Sudan did not enjoy life. She gave me documents, she made my life in Germany easy, and she was an angel to me. They knew everything I went through with the girl. I was like, anybody that wants to mention her name needs to put a lot of respect because what that girl went through within that short time is a lot.

“I’ve had 5 cesarean sections, Sudan, Jasmine, Ivy, Abike, and Adam, I know how it feels. I lost count of how many operations Sudan has had. It got to a stage where she had two shunts in her head.

“If she wants to eat she has this tube in her stomach that is where I pass her food. What was her offence? I gave birth to her early and she had an infection. That was the only offence Sudan had. If you asked me if would I willingly drop everything I got because of her situation for me to get Sudan back, oh I will. She looked so much like me.”
