Senator Olajide Ipinsagba has urged students to imbibe good leadership qualities.
The Ondo North Senatorial District representative spoke when he received the Students Representative Council (SRC) of the Federal University of Technology (FUTA), Akure, Ondo State, led by its speaker, Daniel Adewale.
The students were at the National Assembly to witness the proceedings as student parliamentarians.
The lawmaker said: “You are here to witness the Senate proceedings. This is a learning process.
“As leaders of tomorrow, you need to get it right from the beginning.

“You need to learn it so that by tomorrow, when you are moving gradually to the hierarchy or to the staircase of leadership, you know better what leadership is all about.
“I welcome you again to the National Assembly and advise that as you go back to your school, shun any activity that will not bring unity among you and pay attention to those things that will make you better leaders tomorrow.”
Adewale said they were at the Assembly to “gain more insight about legislation”.
“Observing the Plenary Session of the Senate, we’ve been able to get a lot of understanding about how laws are made.”
